I think I'm horrible at this, I need to do it more often. How often do you. Mine would be once every few weeks. Its J. M. and my 5 year old daughter. So no guys except visitors, but I feel I should be doing it daily or weekly. So anyone else a slob like M.?
I do have everythung put away dishes and luandry done and the rest of the house clean...J. for some reason i dont do the toilet that often, or bleach the tub that often. Anyone have tips on how to get it to be a regular habit without it taking tons of time?

What can I do next?

I don't do this personally, but flylady teaches the swish and swipe technique. Each night before bed wipe down the mirror and sink and swish the toilet brush around the toilet. She recommends keeping a basket right in the bathroom with paper towels and cleaner so you won't have any excuse to forget.

M., I clean about once a week, more if necessary. I'm worse with cleaning the shower, that is usually like every few weeks.

I clean it once a week and more often if my men didn't aim right!

I use the KABOOM and spray the shower - while that's doing its job - I clean the toilet and fill the sink with hot water and my cleaner of choice and wash down the door, walls, sink, etc. by then KABOOM has done its job - I wash it off and rinse, then mop the floor. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

Chuckle. I'm a slob too. I clean the bathroom when it looks dirty. One of us wipes out the sink more often but the toilet and tub only get attention when it starts to look grimy.

Actually, the more often you do it the less time it takes (FAR less) because it's already sort of clean to start with. It's a lot harder to scrub grime and soap scum out of the shower if you leave it for three weeks, but do it once a week and it J. takes a few minutes. Same with mirrors, countertops, etc. I try to do my bathroom twice a week and it only takes five minutes.

I try to clean the tub and toilet once a week and J. go over the toilet rim and sink with a chlorox wipe ever other day J. because my son puts his hands all over them. Also, I was told to use only bon ami (or something similar) on my tub so that's all I use for the tub. I haven't cleaned the tub walls which are tile in months.

As often as my husband does it... growing up with 2 little brothers, I have dedicated 'cleaning the bathroom' as a man's job (yes, that's sexist, I don't care)... I'm not the one who pees all over the place, thank you very much, so I refuse to clean it!!

I didn't read all the responses, but what I do, and what I'd suggest to you is to do a "Mary Poppins" cleanup while your daughter is in the shower/bath! I find that it's the perfect time to take the toilet scrubber & scrub away. Keep some basic cleaning supplies under your sink and grab them for a quick cleaning!
Funny, I told my husband before I married him, "I don't do bathrooms." Apparently he doesn't either! :o)

Every other Saturday, our bathroom gets a good scrub, and I mean a good one. I am down on my hands and knees scrubbing that tile!

About once every three days, while the kids are in the tub, I will swipe down the sink, top of toilet, etc while they bathe. Easy way to make it presentable in the event someone stops over, and I am still in the room supervising the kiddos.

You are doing J. fine mama - you are not a slob.

My husband thinks three times a year is sufficient. Not kidding. Now THAT is gross.

I have 2 boys so their bathroom gets cleaned about once a week. Our bathroon on the other hand may be 2-3 weeks before it gets cleaned. I figure no one sees it so wait until it's worth the time it takes M. to clean it...lol!! J. pouring a little Clorox in the toilet once a week to sit overnight helps too.

I work at home so I have more time that those who work outside the home. I do clean mine once a day. Usually at night before I go to bed. I can clean the toilet while I brush my teeth & can clean the counter & sink while I have mouth wash in my mouth (do the sink after I spit out mouth wash-ha ha). I do have Clorox wipes that help as well. I scrub the floors once every other day. But I have more in my house & more that use my bathroom.

I do mine once a week. Since I have two boys, some minor clean ups often occur between full cleanings.

I am the only female in a household of 3.
I do my toilets about twice per week, more on an at-need basis.
I do my countertops every day.
Bathroom floors, I vacuum weekly and wash with rag & bucket of water every other week. Rugs get washed once per month (roughly).
I J. can't stand a dirty bathroom! It's O. of the first things I do when I clean.

Fly lady says to J. use soap--any soap--collect old bar soap in small container with water, ends of bottles of shampoo, body wash, etc. and J. dump some in their & swish with the toilet brush a few days per week after you shower. The premise is that soap is soap and some soap is better than no soap!

For my tub, the easiest thing for M. to do is get the shower cleaning pouf accessible and J. scrub it down while I'm in there at the end of my shower. I also use a nice big car-cleaning brush and spray Clorox naturals on the tub part, then use the brush then rinse. I keep everything in the bathroom so it's handy whenever I'm in there!

I scrub everything down once a week. Daily...I pick up, wipe down the sink quickly, and swiffer the floors. I vacuum the rugs on the floor every day, because I'm already vacuuming the runners right outside the door, in the hallway. (I HAVE to vacuum every day, we have dogs that shed like crazy.)I leave a shower scrubber in the shower, and I do a quick scrub with J. hot water in the shower. The steam is a great way to clean the tile. Once a week I use our steam cleaner to clean the floors, counter top, bathtub, and shower tiles. I used to be a clean whenever it looks yucky person, but it always took forever. I've found that if I do a little bit every day, it's a breeze to clean.

I clean the toilets 1X a week, mop the floors 1X a week and wipe down the counter tops and mirrors probably every day. I'll spray the shower down with a soap scum remover and clean that maybe 1X every 2 weeks. It doesn't take long, especially if you try to keep up with it otherwise it's harder to get clean. We're a family of 4, so if it's you and daughter I'm sure you don't need to clean as much.

I clean my bathrooms every other day. That way it takes so little time to clean them because there isn't any mess. I have a lady who comes cleans my house twice a month but that is general cleaning. I pretty much clean and do laundry every day. Yes, I hate it but I am also very neurotic about germs

Your bathroom is going to be the holding place for most of the germs in your home, besides your kitchen. I would suggest cleaning your bathroom at least once per week at minimal. If cleaned on a regular basis, depending on the size, it shouldn't take more than 30 to 40 minutes to clean. If you are using bar soap, I would def try to clean it once per week so that you don't have buildup. This will save you a lot of time. Take 30 minutes every day and focus on ONE room in your home. Focus on that room ONLY! At times we tend to start in one room and then venture off to another :) Beleive it or not, this wastes more time than necessary. Pick a room daily and give it your full attention for atleast 30 min. I purposely wake up 30 min to 1 hour earlier every morning to make sure that atleast one room is completely cleaned before we leave out. During this time, everyone is still sleep and out of my way :) Its all about sacrifice! Hope this helps................ :)

I do the counters and all that once every two weeks bc I am very pregnant and that is what I can do. I have my house on a schedule to get it all clean every two weeks. But I do my toilets as needed bc I have all guys around here and that makes a big difference!! Maybe, if you feel you should do it more J. decide to clean J. the toilets every Saturday morning. All I do is put a ring of the cleaner inside and go about my business for a while. The I brush it clean, grab a couple lysol or clorox wipes and wipe it down good and go on with my life. I keep it very simple, but clean ;)
