Summary

With Health Aid, you should go to www.illinoishealthconnect.com and search from there. You need to pick a PCP (Primary Care Provider). This is the easiest way. Or, you can call every doc in the phone book and ask if they take public aid. Also, look into Community Nurse Health Association in LaGrange. They help people who are uninsured and on public aid.

Q., I'm not sure where you are located, but I would look into Community Nurse Health Association in LaGrange. They help people who are uninsured and on public aid. I'm sure they can help you with medical and dental care. http://www.communitynurse.org/ My friend works there and they are a great organization that has helped so many people!

Good luck to you!

Not sure where you're located, but in Oswego there's Dr. Ankur Patel, he's a family physician, meaning he can take care of you and your kids, and his office is nicer than a lot of the other medicaid doctors. Also, you probably won't have to wait as long to see him as you would with other doctors. I think his office is relatively new. Dr. Sara Dennison in West Chicago is also very nice, but she's strictly a pediatrician I think. Or your local WIC/family services office should be able to provide a full list for you. Oh yeah, if you're looking for an OB/GYN, there's Dr.s Oransaye & Olabi (I probably spelled them wrong) in Aurora near Rush Copley. Good luck.

With public aid you should go to www.illinoishealthconnect.com and search from there. You need to pick a pcp (primary care provider). This is the easiest way. Or, you can call every doc in the phone book and ask if they take public aid. You must also ask if they are excepting new patients. Sometimes either they will say, "yes, we take public aid but we aren't accepting new patients" or "there is a wait list for new public aid patients." Go to the illinois health connect website you will have to enter some information so they can find you in the system and then you can search for any doctor in your area. After you find one you still need to call them because they may not be accepting any new patients or sometimes I have found that they don't have any openings for months. In a emergency or if you are sick just go to any convenient care center or ER. Let me know what area you are in and I can give you my doctors name or doctors that I have seen. Good luck. I am clickable if you have any more questions. Also, if you are looking for a dentist you need to find one through doral dental care, I think there is a link on that website that I posted above. Let me know if you need help.

In a pinch you can attend the Urgent Care Centers...CDH (Central DuPage Hospital) has several in the area and are family physicians...the urgent care centers of CDH accept public aid.
