My husband and I are throwing a birthday party for our daughter who is turning 3....the problem is....the party was to be a SWIM party, but because of the storm, we can't.
I really need some simple and sorta "last minute" affordable-cheap ideas for the kids to do indoors.

THANK YOU FOR ANY ADVICE!!

So What Happened?

THANKS ALL for the advice!
we did end up having the swim party, but i still ended up having more activities inside. i just made more things for the goody bags with stickers and it pretty much turned into a Princess Theme all on it's own! they all had a BLAST!!
(sigh)...
i'm so tired now, but it was so worth it seeing how much fun all the kids had...especially my daughter!!!!

We had a similar situation once and had to quickly turn an outside party into an inside party...
We broke out the dress up clothes and clown makeup and let the older kids dress up the smaller ones and put on a fashion show, even the adults got into it, letting their kids put clown makeup all over their faces.

You could turn it into a cooking party with some quick kid friendly recipes and let everyone cook...

You could let the kids make home-made play-doh and roll it out and play with it...

You could make a scrapbooking party...take digital photos of everyone, print them out quickly and let the kids make themselves into funny creatures with yarn hair and google eyes etc...

Hope you come up with something! Good luck!

turn the inside into a beach theme party. You can get some cheap stuff for making the theme. Use a pool inside if you wanted. Good Luck.

It still can be a swim party.
I am a member at Melrose Swim Club and we have parties all of the time.
Why don't you just relocate your party there? The location of the pool is 30th St and Cholla(1/2 way between Shea and Cactus)
We have a life guard on duty an you are welcome to bring in outside food/drink!
The website to the pool is www.melrosemakos.com
The cost would be $3 per person and everyone can swim. There is even a kiddie pool!

Let me know if I can show you around

Hi S.,

I'm not sure when the party is supposed to be but you could still have it out side and have it at a local park and do it earlier in the day. Kids love the play areas and most parks have covered areas with grills etc (if you're doing BBQ) to prep food on.
