Hair Help for Daddy!

I would cut it for a couple reasons. It seems to have helped my oldest get her hair to thicken up, and it will help in the morning with the hair struggle! I use the little rubberbands and do a couple things to keep the hair out of the face. Try useing them and pulling the front har into little ponytails and pulling the ponytail through itselg from the fron to the back. I can send you a pic if you want. It's so easy and can stay in for a while! I have my hair like that now!

If you're going to use clips or barrettes with short hair, can you use them now with the long hair? My daughter has regular pony tails that tend to slip out by mid-morning, and we have become picky with which ties to use. Some don't hold their stretch and others do. We always put in a barrette on each side to hold the fly-aways back, though.

My daughter's hair is fine and curly and a nightmare when long. It isn't just that it slips out of EVERYTHING! It also looks unkept, like perhaps brushes and combs aren't a priority in our house. I cut her hair shorter, just a basic bob at chin length, and it has saved us all a lot of heartache. Her hair is easier to wash, comb and style. It is quicker to dry and doesn't knot up as much because fine hair seems to knot up really easily.

I recommend it 100%. If she gets it cut and doesn't like it, no big deal. The great thing about hair is (unless you are balding) it grows back.

Shorter IS easier for daddies...just pick up some of the tiny clips with the rubber on the inside that doesn't slip to clip the hair at the sides of her face back and away. I have really fine hair too...and these work great!

To keep hair out of her face, I would buy the bendy clips that are shaped kind of like a tear drop. Even when they start to slip out, it is super easy and quick to fix.

I have a daughter that has the same problem, we use ouchless rubberbands and tighten them up. We use clips and also hairspray. Hairspray helps alot with the flyways. But there are still days where the hair falls out and it looks like we don't fix her hair. Take it in stride and relax on the days that the hair falls out. I cut my older daughter's hair (who has very thick, coarse hair) and I regret it everytime I fix her hair. Having shorter hair is actually harder to keep fixed because it tends to fall out more and, in her case, her hair is so heavy that clips and barrettes won't hold it. Good luck and keep trying things.

Make sure to use Ouchless rubber bands. They are a little thicker and if you loop it tighter it should hold better. My daughter has long hair to her waist and there is a lot of hair :) However, it is straight and fine so that's what we need to use. My husband also does her hair because I've already left for work before she wakes up.
