does anyone cut/style hair out of their house for a reasonable price. I need something done with my hair. I have curly hair that is not so curly after pregnancy so people have suggested to cut it shorter and let my hair grow back. At this point I am up for shaving my head cause it would look better then what it does currently.

I did go to someone to get my hair trimmed and she totally butchered it. I feel like I have a mullet. It's bad please someone say they can help me or know someone that can help me.

What can I do next?

If you don't find someone I suggest checking around for a beauty school. They typically charge $10 or less for hair cuts and they are really good because their teachers check everything. They also know the latest techniques. We go to Debutante's in DeKalb, but there is Hair Professionals in Sycamore and Oswego - I'm sure there are others out there.

I have a great stylist who works out of her house - but she is in Schaumburg - would you drive that far? She has curly hair and so do I - and she is awesome with my hair. Send me a message if you want her info.

If you work near or ever get out to the Elgin/South Elgin area, I love the girl's at Contessa's Hair Salon on McLean Blvd right by Sundown Road. The haircuts are only 12.00 and I love my hair. I go to Debbie, but Diane and Linda are great too. My whole family goes here. I realize it might be a bit of a drive. But I am willing to go out of my way for good service. Good luck!

I have curly and straight hair too. I have been dealing with it my whole life, and I have found that it isnt so much who cuts your hair, but HOW it is cut. I need to have lots of layers, and most trendy places only do one or two long layers. Just play with it and find someone you trust.
