Good Cleansers for Rosacea

I was told I have rosacea about a year ago. I'm having a real hard time finding cleansers that don't freak my skin out. Anything I use has to be soap free, oil free, fragrance free, the works. I typically use Oil of Olay cleansers but sometimes it's like my skin is getting used to it and not responding. I'm currently having a bad flareup and even the cream I bought over the counter specifically for rosacea isn't working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

Check into Mario Badescu products. Go to their website, fill out questionaire and they will send you free samples! Love their poducts! Have you seen a derm? I know of a cleanser called Plexion (RX needed) and it is for Rosacea. If not what about a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil?

Eucerin has a redness reducing line and everything can be bought separately. They have a cleanser, day lotion, night cream and anti-aging cream. Clinique has an extensive redness reducing line including their new face powder which sells for $32.50.

Hey, how about handling the rosacea, then you don't have to have a cleanser for that. Really.

Cetaphil usually works pretty well for that!

Have you ever tried Mary Kay? I know a few people that have rosacea that have had success with Mary Kay products. If you would like to try please give me a call. ###-###-#### E. Baker

my mom has excema (sic) so in a similar predicament. She uses Purpose.

I use Cetaphil/ Target has a generic brand. It is non-alkaline, non-comedogenic, and fragrance free. It's very easy on the skin. I do not recommend the bar soap, it leaves a heavy residue on skin. I have the same problem w/ Rosacea. Oh, and I just recently found out Clinique has a new line for rosacea. Or you could ask your doctor. Mine perscribed this stuff called Metronidazole Topical Gel. Hope this helps!
