So What Happened?

I ended up using Sally's brand, but am open to trying the others listed here. Thanks so much!

It isn't a box but the dyes at Sally's Beauty are inexpensive, last well and are really beautiful. I started dying my own hair after my divorce because when I was in school I didn't have the time or the money to go to a salon.

Now I have time and money but love the color so much I am not going to bother with a salon.

Do not use the foam ones. They are cheap and made my hair staticy for weeks! I just used Perfect 10 from Clairol and am VERY happy with the results. My hair is normally a dark ash brown so I used a very light cool brown.

L'Oreal works well for me. I have two gray streaks that come out when I am stressed and this brand covered them well. I have light brown hair.

Another vote for L'Oreal... even the woman that cuts my hair says it looks natural.
