Goat's Milk? Farm Fresh Meat?
Hi! I am very interested in giving my daughter goat's milk. Is anyone a part of a co-op or know where you can buy goat's milk? My biggest concern is the price, but I want to at least do some research. My internet research is coming up short. My husband and I would like to get farm fresh meats and veggies too, but I just don't know where to start. I am located in Ft. Worth near Benbrook.
Thanks!

My son drank goat's milk from 12 months to 18 months. I bought it at Super Wal-mart and Central Market. I think Kroger carries it now too. It was called Meyenberg Goat Milk and it came in a purple quart container. I was about $3.12 at Super Wal-mart.

I gave my daughter goats milk when she was around 10 months old and I would buy it at Alberton's and also Central Market. I don't think the price was much different at either place.

There is a goat creamery that I have used in Granbury-you can contact Jennifer at texasnubians.com, for fantastic meat I use Burgundy Pasture Beef, and there are at least two co-ops in the area, Heaven Sent Produce and I believe HealthSource with Monica Brown. That should get you started! We also have the first texas chapter of the Holistic Moms Organization over here in the Mid-Cities area. You can find out more about them at holisticmoms.org-that is how we network for these specific kinds of needs and have people come from Dallas to join us :) Best of Luck!

Don't know if this is one of the things you are looking for or not but friends of mine purchase from them all the time and rave about it. You might also ask them about goats milk since they have goats there. www.paidom.com
As far as farm fresh veggies I go to farmers markets and the fruit stands at flea markets all the time and they have great stuff. But here are 2 sites that might help. The first one also has a link to find a farm near you.

If you go to church or know anyone who does you can also ask around for anyone who have gardens as I know my parents had SOOOO much in theirs this year that they gave a lot away. Good luck!
