hi
It is great once you get used to it. It is very hard at first especially if you like carbs
Like I did. I am highly allergic to wheat, so now I do not have a choice. I lost
Weight at first, but did see a difference in how I felt and my monthly. Most wheat free diets are
Gluten free when you buy certain things. It is not cheap either, but there are some
Great products at the grocery and whole foods. My doctor had my try it for 2 weeks, I would suggest the same to you. Hope this helps.

T.,
I am on the gluten free diet. I am also corn free and dairy free because I cannot tolerate any of these foods. If you are doing it just for health what you are eliminating is mainly processed foods, so it is definitely good for you. I do most of my shopping at the Sunflower Shoppe in the Colleyville area (Glade road and Hwy 121) and they have a great selection. If you go gluten free for health, you have to do it all the way and not cheat or you will not see results. Good luck and if you have any questions, let me know :)

I have had great results with this--I went to a nutritionist in mid-January (Rhonda McKinney, HealthySolutionsToday.com) and got all kinds of tests run. She took me off wheat, dairy, sugar and caffeine (the last part was the hardest!) Turns out I had a big gluton allergy and didn't know it. I feel SO much better! I'm eating so much healthier--lots of healthy protein and greens for the most part. Seems like for a lot of people, gluton is kind of like gunk in your garbage disposal--just keeps things from working right. Oh, and it will help with the weight loss as well--I've lost 9 pounds since I started this, have so much more energy (w/o caffeine)--I recommend it. Check out Central Market and Whole Foods-big gluton free sections. Good luck!

I've been off of gluten for about 3 years. My stomach area doesn't swell up anymore. In the healthy section of Kroger there are tags that hang off the shelf that say gluten free. For example: gluten free cereals, breads, pasta's, cookies, bars. Central Market has its own gluten free section. Talk to a foodie there. They love helping people. I don't do without its just different than it was. The chips I eat are usually corn chips, etc.

Living gluten-free is not as easy as it seems! I was diagnosed as gluten-intolerant over a year ago and I'm still figuring it out. You basically cannot eat out unless you don't mind giving very specific instructions. The best thing is to focus on whole foods and making everything from scratch. That's the only way you know there's no gluten in it. I recommend reading "Gluten-Free Girl." It's a great book about healthy living and loving food.

I'm a vegan, so I do not eat anything that comes from an animal. I have been a vegetarian for most of my life and just recently (January) became vegan.
I feel fantastic. I need less sleep to feel rested. My thoughts are clearer (like a fog has been lifted). I feel better about who I am because I feel better about what I take into my body.
A cruelty-free and compassionate lifestyle, including eating habits, is very rewarding on many levels.
