Tradition!

Aka, something repeatable. Inexpensive. Fun.

Fishing, dancing, swimming, pool, music, icecream, movie marathon, photo safari, sailing, bowling... Something HE likes to do, and she would like to do with him on a regular basis... Like once a month.

1 month?? Gees

Go to the movies or for ice cream and make a nice card. This is not a milestone.

Nothing. This is no big deal. Maybe they may want to celebrate by doing something together like a real date - a movie, a ice cream, etc.,

They should NOT be giving each other gifts.

I agree that encouraging this isn't my first choice. A poem, note, or baking him cookies should be the limit. Along with a note saying "let's take things slow" :)

I remember being 15 with my first month anniversary. For all those moms being so derisive, why do you have to be so negative towards a young girl starting to understand what relationships are about? It is exciting because a teens life is measured in days, not years. And if this is the first relationship that has lasted this long, it is a milestone for them.
I also agree that encouraging a low key approach is also good. An outing for the two of them sounds perfect. If she feels this is special, that is the important thing.

Hmmm...a month isn't exactly a milestone. Maybe tickets to the movies or something else that they can enjoy together.

Now that I am a mother, I wouldn't encourage this, but I remember being 15.

I would say that baking cookies would be fine. Buying a gift is a bit over the top for 1 month.

A handmade card should suffice.

i personally wouldn't encourage this type of celebration, but then again i am against a 15 yr old having a boyfriend........but since you are fine with this i agree with TF, an ice cream is more than enough
