Mamas & Papas -

I've been experiencing awful gas pain, belly discomfort, and frequent BMS, from Saturday evening till now. The gas pain is so uncomforatble, it leaves me doubled over, cramped, feeling faint, I flash up in a full body sweat and then am clammy. I've been having BMs every 4 hours or so, and my sleep has been disrupted.

I have no clue what brought this on, and no clue on how to help it resolve. Any ideas or suggestions? Meanwhile, I have a lot more sympathy for the little ones, and will never be so quick to say, "oh, its just gas" again.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
F. B.

Could be you have developed Lactose Intolerance.. Maybe a Gluten allergy.. Or if you are suffering with lots of sinus drainage. this can also bbring this on.

There is a stomach flu going on around here.. be careful to really wash your hands really well..

Gas-X!! And plenty of clear fluids. Since this has been going on so long, I personally would call my dr. for advice and to see if he thinks he should see me. Hope you feel better soon!

hi...first i want to say i'm so sorry ur going thru this.
i wonder if u've ever had any type of abdominal surgery....because scar tissue (adhesions) could cause your symptoms. how about irregular periods or suspected endometriosis??
i say if it doesn't go away by today go see a dr. quick...like yesterday...don't blow it off. good luck!

p.s.

It could be a few things. You could have eaten something spicy that does not agree with your stomic or something else that does not agree. You could have gotten a bug that's goign around. I would start out with Gas X. That usually works really well for me. I would also keep hydrated.

Good luck and God Bless!

We have similar symptoms.. Ouch.. First I had it and my youngest daughter. It lasted four days. Then my oldest daughter got it last night. I think ours is a viruses the stomach flu has been going around. After the diarrhea stopped I still had really bad cramping. So I took an imodium.. And lots of water and avoided dairy. Very bland foods like bananas, apples, toast, rice.. Maybe call a nurse at your dr. Office.
Feel better!

Sounds like something you ate somewhere. Or if you have little one something that they brought home.

Have you had any broccoli, cabbage or such? This makes many people gassie (sp). Have you eaten anywhere outside the home? Maybe the food wasn't prepared as it should have been. Have you cooked something and placed in on your kitchen counter? Perhaps it was not cleaned properly. These are some suggestions only not definites.

Hopy you get relief soon.

PS Whatever it is your body is trying to eliminate it naturally.
