Fun/inexpensive/free Activities to Do with 1 and 2 Year Old

Hi moms,

My cousin is coming to the metroplex in a few weeks with her 2 year old and newborn. We are hoping to go out and do some kid friendly activities with her children and my 20 month old. I know of the zoo and the Wiggles indoor playground and the Dallas Children's Musuem. They went to the Dallas World Aquarium last year (which I absolutely love), but any ideas on other things we can do while they are here. Any great parks, or other places to take toddlers in the McKinney, Plano, Frisco area and then Dallas, Irving area etc...?

I've read many of the other suggestions and am not looking for a play group or anyhting, but more a site-seeing or attraction that is toddler friendly.

Thanks

I have read many of the

There's Paradise Pond in Grapevine on Thurs and Fri, and it only costs $1. Google it for more info. The Galleria has a nice toddler play area in it too, and it's free. The Dallas Arboretum has various activities for toddlers/preschool ages. Look at their website. Hope this helps.

Splash factory in Grand Prairie is fun. I took my 20 month old there last summer and she had a ball. It is also only like $1.00 a person to get in.

Try Pump it Up Junior in East Plano on Thursday mornings. They dedicate that time to kids under 3 so your children wont get pummeled by 6 year olds. We love it.

My kids love to feed the ducks at the park. They also like the Science Place in Fair Park. There is a section designed for toddlers, it has a huge water table with boats and other water toys. It also has other fun play areas for toddlers. I cannot remember how much it cost, but there is soooo much to see and do. Have fun!
