Mamas & Papas-

Do you know of/ can you recommend a calendar/ diary which has columns in which you can see everyone in the family's daily activities? possibly with hourly committments. ideally it would also have a month at a glance. I'm looking for a hard copy calendar iit can be desk, or wall, or a planning book, it can be magnetic, cork, chalkboard, or made of turnips, so long as it isn't electronic. It won't suffice to have one entry per person per day, because our lives are a little more complicated.

Thanks a bunch,
F. B.

I've used the MomAgenda planner before. They're nice and have everything you're looking for. They come in several different sizes. Even though they aren't purse-size, the bigger ones are really great. I bought mine at Staples. http://www.momagenda.com/

This one also looks nice. http://www.thefamilyplanner.com/the-family-planner-profes...

And here's some FREE printables you might find useful. Perhaps making your own might meet your needs better. http://whipperberry.com/2012/06/family-planner-free-print...

I like electronic planners, but we also have one like you're wanting that we got from The Container Store. They have several to choose from. Ours is a whiteboard with many different colored magnetic markers attached to it. Each person in the family gets a different color, and we write our plans on the calendar. We have it in the kitchen and it's nice to be able to glance at it and see how busy the week is going to be. It has a cork part on the side where we can stick things if we need to, also.

Get a huge dry erase board calendar and have different colored markers for each person and mount it to the wall. This way you will see it daily and can be reused each month

Before my iPhone, I had magnetic calendars I kept 1 month at a time in the fridge and I color coded activities for daughter, personal and business commitments.

They were dry erase, super easy to use, edit, etc. I got them at staples.

They were super simple. I also have a notebook I keep with me to keep track of any online orders, planning, and any info I needed to keep.

I used to have the Simplicity for Moms version of a Franklin-Covey planner, which had a week-at-a-glance appointment book with a large section for my day plus 4 other sections, which I used for the kids (doubling up my younger two who were on the same schedule), meal planning and other stuff. It was basically days across the top, and people down the side.

I got to a point where I didn't really need that. At home, I use a Flylady wall calendar. It's HUGE. Each day's box is like 1x2 inches or something close to that. Everyone in my family has a different color flair pen assigned to him or her and appointments for everyone go on in the appropriate color. Mine are magenta, the boys are blue, purple or green, etc. I can fit everyone's appointments in this calendar, then I used my Outlook calendar to plan my work day. I stack up the appointments by time so I can see in advance when we have conflicts and arrange accordingly. It works surprisingly well for our busy family of 6.

Here is that FK planner that I used:

Momagenda has similar products as well.

I made my own using printables from mommytracked.com. It was the only way to get everything I wanted all in one space. :) Good luck!!!

Oh I have several suggestions.

If you like a sprial planner - this is a traditional planner you can thrown in your workbag or leave on your desk. the weekly view has 7 rows use them for different people in your family and or meal planning too. Plenty of each space per day for multiple entries per person.

If you want something you can just put on the fridge and leave it:

I've used the Mom Agenda planner books too that are more like the sprial above I really perfer the plum paper designs for several reasons.
