hey ladies,

I am SAHM to 3 kids. We used to be YMCA members, but have cut that for budget reasons. This is the time of year I struggle... Feb. in Minnesota sucks :)

Anyway, I love yoga and used to really enjoy a body pump style class and am looking for some DVD suggestions for routines I could do at home. A DVD that has a few different workouts would be great.

I'm not looking for weight loss, rather strength and body toning.

THANKS!
Jessica

I am in the same position as you are... living in Wisconsin with similar weather patterns as you. The thing that has kept me moving is borrowing exercise videos from the library. The Biggest Loser has a yoga workout you might find available.

Good luck!

My two favorite DVDs:

• Hip Hop Abs: 3 workouts– Fat Burning Cardio, Ab Sculpt, Total Body Burn (instructor: )Shaun T
• SHAPE Long, Lean, and Strong (yoga with instructor Teri Hanson)

The first one is great because it uses dance moves, so it's fun to do, and you work up a good sweat. The second one is my favorite yoga video (I have 5-6) and I use this one almost exclusively. Teri's style is very fluid, she gives you good warm ups and cool downs, strengthens and stretches your body. My mom loves this workout, too, and my brother uses the Hip Hop Abs.

I got them both on Amazon.com for a really great price (got used copies).

God bless!

However, the workout that I currently LOVE is this one from youtube. It's a kettlebell work-out for women. Very simple and just a few little things to do, but it's quick and I have time in-between helping the kids. Oh, and just got a couple of handle 2 lb weighs from target and use them. My tummy is really toning up!!

I went to Turbo Kick at the Y and really liked it. They also have videos called Turbo Jam. Kinda spendy, but maybe you could get them on ebay or craigslist or something...

I don't know of any DVD's but the Nintendo WII offers yoga workouts on one of there games. It will give you a good workout /toning. I just have the WII game that you can golf, play tennis and do boxing but it's a work out for sure. You should give it a try its fun to. If youre not into games the library will let you rent DVDs for free there maybe they'll have something there that fits you better.
