Anyone know of a good workout video my 21 mo old daughter an I can do 2gether? All the ones I'm finding are baby yoga etc.
And she's (unfortunately) not a baby anymore :(.......but I need to get into better shape and she loves doing everything I do, so i'd like something fun for her too. Lemme know moms! And thanx!

I've done Kickboxing videos with my kids, as well as Tae-Bo. They loved it, as did I! We rented them from the library and it was a great tool to get them active on rainy days. I know they have dancing videos also, maybe she would like that?

Hi M.. I think the idea of checking dvds (or videos) at the library is a good idea for starters.

I am a fitness coach and the company I'm affiliated with has a children's workout called "Tony and the Kids" for $9.95. You can check it out at www.teambeachbody.com/Wanaka Click on Shop, Videos, then Tony Horton and scroll down to read details.

Hope this helps. I'm delighted to read that you are starting to incorporate the importance of exercise (movement/activity) in your daughter at such a young age. It will remain with her for life if you keep it up.

Good luck!

I know what you mean about wanting one geared more for both of you, but really, kids will adapt ANY workout video to their own style. My son has been watching yoga videos with me practically since birth, and he has passed through a use-mom-as-a-jungle-gym-during-her-poses stage and into doing what I refer to as Ninja-Yoga- doing the real yoga poses but at very high rates of speed, plus making up his own poses.

If you want a ridiculously good workout, look for those old MTV videos for kids- I think it was called Funhouse or Playhouse or something. Kids like them, right up to the tween years, and they really make you MOVE.

I have used Mom and Toddler Fitness by Parents. It has some yoga, some strength training, and some fun stuff for the kids.

I do have a yoga for kids which is the ABC and Silly to calm that my 24 month old son and 3 1/2 year old daughter do. It is slow going so the child has to have a good attention span to spend any amount of time doing it. My daughter being older is able to do it longer but we really only ever get into about five or so minutes of it. I am excited to see what responses you get because I also have a hard time finding active/exercise/movement videos.
