Early Pregnancy Test..

Hi, Has anyone really seen a positive 5-6 days before your period is due? When i was pregnant with my son, i didnt get a positive until the day before my period was supposed to come.....just curious! Were trying for number two and wondering if i should invest on early pregnancy test or just wait it out!

What can I do next?

Yes. My test was positive with my younger son at 5 days prior to when I was supposed to start my period. It was only confirmation though, since I already knew I was pregnant. But to answer your question, yes. The tests can give you a positive that early, but every women is different, so if you don't get a positive, just try again in a few days.

These test look for the presence of certain hormones. Problem being that these hormones start at level in the single digits and go to a level of several 10.000s in the course of the first two months of pregnancy. And on top of that, every woman is different in how fast these hormones go up. So if you are a "slow" hormone developer, it could happen that you do a very early test and get a negative and a few days later you get a positive.
One thing is for sure: Any test that shows a pregnancy is usually correct.
Only a negative test could mean you did it wrong or it is too early in the pregnancy, but we are only talking days here....
Good luck!
