Early Morning or Overnight Job

Hello Mom's,

This may seem like an odd request or question, but I am looking for a job early mornings, maybe like 4am - 8am (no later) or even a part-time overnight position (3nights a week). I have a very good resume. I was a security director for a major retail company for 6 years, I also have a BS degree in Animal Science/Pre-vet. I have a lot of science and chemistry background from school, but all lab experience no work experience. I also have a lot of work experience in the restaurant business. I currently am not looking for a career, but I am looking for a job that I can spend at least the next few years at until the babies go to school. I learn very quick and can adapt to any work situation. I have considered a job at a hospital, but a lot of people won't take a chance on me because I have no work history. I only have laboratory experience, I have actually performed an ovariectomy on a pig, I have performed in-vivo fertilization. I absolutely loved organic chemistry, but once again no work history and my lab experience was 10 years ago. I would even be interested in working at a bakery, baking all the breads, doughnuts etc... for the morning rush hours. If anyone knows of any jobs that may fit my hours and/or my experience please help out. It would be very much appreciated by not only myself but my whole family!! Thanks, M.

What can I do next?

I'm not sure if it is something you would be interested in, but I know that Home Depot is open overnight, and they may even have security there. Just an idea :)

I just want to say "more power to you!". I wanted to do something like this but figured I would be too tired during the day to take care of the kids (mine rarely nap).

Newspaper carriers do their jobs in the very early morning hours -- papers usually have to be on lawns by 7 or 8 a.m. I know this can be a good job if you want those kind of hours. You could contact the Dallas Morning News human resource dept. (whatever suburb bureau you live in) -- I think they would pay the most. I worked for Dallas Morning News/Belo Corp. for about 3 yrs -- it's a good company.
