Ear Piercing for 7 Year Old

I took both my kids to Claire's in Tamarack Village in Woodbury. My first daughter was pierced by the manager and although she wasn't there this time around the manager on duty did my second daughter's ear piercing. I would personally request the manager to do it and not anybody else. I had my daughter's ears done at the same time and the associate pierced her ear at a slant. i took it out a few days later after realizing this and they will do it over. The manager will do it seeing that she did a great job on her side.

Hi M. - My dtr just turned 6 and got her ears pierced. We went to the MOA and went to Icing - aka Claire's Boutique. The gal there was awesome! She did great with my dtr's anxiety. She was the one that asked and wanted to get her ears pierced; however, when we got there she had A LOT of questions. It seemed like both of the employees there were fantastic. They also made sure we knew how to properly clean her ears/earrings afterwards. We had to actually show the gal at Icing after she explained the process. Great experience for us!

I took my daughter to Claire's in Eagan when she was 5 and it went fine.

Because I have worked for the company in the past, not anymore so this is not just so they get the business but because I have been through the training process. I highly recommend the claire's company, which is Claire's/Icings/Afterthoughts. They use good sterile equipment practice healthy sterile environment as far as gloves/cleaning the ear ect. And do not let any person pierce an ear until handling MANY test piercings and at least one friend/family as a first practice. I can honestly say I had pierced over a thousand ears in the five years I worked for the company. They get a good 2-5 at least in a day. Oh and Please go with gold. Don't do the cheap metals I have seen too many ear infections in my time...they really do recommend as a first pair the gold for a reason. Not just for the money. And use the solution they give you and clean the ears a few times a day at least.

We did ours at both Claire's in the mall and Piercing Pagoda and thought Piercing Pagoda was a little more professional and the employee was a little older mature and so I would recommend them.
