Dry Erase Marker
Help! My daughter wrote on a projection screen at my husband's office today with dry erase marker. How can we get it out? The screen is really expensive and is used in sales presentations to clients! Argh!

I started laughing when I read this because we just did this a couple of months ago. Get the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I had never used it before, but my 2 year old daughter took a permanent Sharpie marker and decided to "write" (i.e. scribble over and over) on the printer, the computer keyboard, and my husband's work's projector that we had been borrowing that costs thousands and thousands on dollars. The Magic Eraser took it right off, and we were so relieved! Good luck.

MR. CLEAN MAGIC ERASER!! That's all I can come up with but that got permanent marker off of my mom's micro fiber couch. I didn't read anyone else's responses...probably should go do that now but I would definitely try a Mr. Clean. Those things are amazing! Good luck!!

Use a Q-tip and dunk it lightly into rubbing alcohol. The rubbing alcohol drys quickly and should not harm the equipment. It may take a little time but it should eventually all come off and not leave any residue behind especially when markings are off take a clean Q-tip with another dose of rubbing alcohol back over the entire surface then take a dry Q-tip back over that until any streaks are gone.

I just have to laugh so hard. This is one of those stories that will one day bring a smile to your face.... even if you never get it off.
I like Colleen's suggestion the best. Good luck!

I've gotten marker off fabrics with those mr clean magic erasers. I had nothing to lose and tried it, amazingly it worked. It might work for the projection screen.??? Good luck!

Here is one more thing that you can try. Hairspray. Any kind of hair spray. Spray on and then pat off . Thjis may take several applications but it works on ink. Good luck and god bless

Try rubbing alcohol. I don't know why but it seems to get ink off of many things.

I don't know if this will work with the screen, but the only thing I've found to get dry-erase out of my son's clothes is "Murphy Oil Soap" and a toothbrush. Apply the soap, let it sit for a minute, then scrub with the toothbrush for a bit, blot off with a paper towel and keep repeating. At first, it won't seem like it's working at all, but little by little (and it can take a bit of time) it will be gone. Normally I then throw the clothes in the wash, so you'd want to find something that can then clean the screen.
I would test this in a small corner of the screen to make sure the oil doesn't ruin the screen more! Good luck!
