Hi Moms,
I have a 16 month old son and am expecting a baby girl at the end of the month. When my son was born we invested in the Chicco Cortina travel system. We have gotten great use out of it. I love that the carseat fits down inside easily and the stroller is really lightweight and user-friendly. I plan on using the carseat and base for #2, but wondered if there was a double stroller made by Chicco that allows the carseat to attach. So far I haven't found anything. Does anyone know of other double strollers that would accept the carseat attachment? My son loves to walk and is great about holding my hand, but isn't able to walk long distances yet, so I really would like to have a double stroller. Thanks!
A.

We have a Baby Trend Sit and Stand and love it! Target, Walmart and Babies R Us (online) all have them. It fits the carseat and converts to an actual stroller seat when the baby is old enough to sit up. There is a seat in the back for your older child too; they can sit or stand up. It's great; I highly recommend it.

We had a Graco Travel system with my first son. We had our second son when my first was 18 months old. We bought the Baby Trend Sit-n-Stand stroller from Target for only $130. It adjusts for any carseat, rolls very smooth, and is compact when folded (more so than my Graco, even with the double seats). I think it maneuvers very well in crowded spaces, like at the mall. It has a large basket underneath, cupholders for the parents, as well as a cupholder and snack tray in the front when your baby grows older and can sit up in the stroller. The front tray snaps on and off very easily, so your child can get in and out of the seat by themselves (when they get old enough).

I love this stroller and have received so many comments from other moms when they see me with it.

My older son loved the fact he could stand up in the back or sit down. There is a strap that goes across the bars if you want to hook it while the child is standing, and when they are sitting down, there is a 3-point seatbelt.

The only downfall I could see is the front seat does not fold completely flat, but it does slant backwards enough for the younger one to sleep comfortably. That didn't bother me at all. My children didn't need to lay flat on their backs to sleep. I think they sleep better at an angle anyways.

I highly recommend this stroller, and for the price, it's definitely worth it! Truthfully, I would have even spent more for this stroller. It's great.

We have an older Graco and I did not like it so we just bought the Kolcraft Countours Options double stroller. Tried it out at Babies R Us. Loved the seating configurations and flexibility. Seats can be moved to face you , face each other, face forward, use one seat and the baby carrier, etc. Easy to push. It has two seats plus an attachment to swap out one seat for the baby carrier.

We have a 4 year old, a 17 month old and a 10 week old. We needed the various seating options to accomodate who would be riding in the stroller at different times. I find it easy to take apart and handle but other reviews have complained about the weight or size. Most reviews are very positive and one of the best based on my research.

It sells for $229 but we added it to our babies R Us registry, and they give you a 10% discount to use on anything left on your registry after the due date. Added a 15% off one item coupon and got the stroller for $168.

Good luck.

Saw one of these at the Y and thought it was cool:

We have a fischer price sit n stand and really like it. We oiled the wheels with biking oil and they work great now. Like it mostly because it has a huge accessible basket underneath and the basket that folds out from the back of the front seat is great for grocery shopping in the cold a flu season when you just dont want to touch the shopping carts! and take a little one along. Back seat holds up to 50 lbs!

When I gave birth to my 2nd son, Kale, my first son, Carter was 2. We looked at a lot of different strollers and went with the Sit-N-Stand by Baby Trend. It's supposed to be compatible with most car seats. (It comes with an attachment for car seats). I like it because Carter can get up and walk around and then get back in when he needs a break without getting lifted in and out. The only complaint is that it doesn't have a backrest for him if he gets tired. I believe the newer ones do, however. It's a little spendy, but we've gotten so much use out of it. It fold up almost as small as a single stroller. Good luck!

I would have to suggest that you check into the Sit n Stand Deluxe. It's the one I'm thinking of getting. It starts with 2 seats, and you can put a carseat in it. I don't know if you need an attachment or anything, but you're older can ride in front. Then, I'm not sure how it works, but the back seat comes out and can turn into a bench so the older one can sit when he needs to. I think they usually retail for around $160 or so, but I can't find it in a store in my area, so I'm probably going to end up paying shipping if I buy it.

I also hear the Kolcraft Contours is the BEST of double strollers, and originally it's the one I wanted - until I found out it was over 50 lbs! To travel with it, it would need to have the excess wait sticker and the baggage fee! I don't think so!
