I am starting my second trimester and have placenta previa~need to keep moving but cannot do my usually in home videos due to the bouncing on a hard surface. Doctor suggested water aerobics. I was looking for something within 15 minutes of Holiday and Mid Cities or Holiday and 820. I really do not want to join a gym because I will be back to my in home aerobics after the baby comes. I just want to get a good workout carefully! Thanks so much for any help!

Lots of gyms right now have no initition fees and no contracts, so even though you're "joining," you're just paying the monthly fee to use the pool and can quit when you're done. Best of both worlds!

You might try the NRH Community Center (on 820 between rufe snow and holiday). I think they have a pool. Info is on the city's website. If that doesn't work you can also check into the pool at Tarrant county college. I know if you register for any class you can use the gym and pool.

TCC may have water aerobics at their pool, but I know for sure that the Keller Nataorium has them. They're at Rufe Snow and 1709. I think Keller Pointe may have them, too.

hi A., my name is jen and i work for 24 hour fitness. you should try the one on rufe snow and 820-just behind don pablos! we do not do contracts, only month to month, my suggestion would be to pay the two months in advance- about 62 dollars and enjoy your water aerobics without the hassle of a commitment that you don't want to make...good luck!

Try the Keller ISD Natatoriaum which is near the Keller Pointe...just north of it. I don't know their programs (maybe online) but they seem reasonable and flexible..they have drop in swim too. Good luck. They're a vendor at our healthfair tomorrow (January 17, 10am-noon) at the NRH Recreation Center (6720 NE Loop 820, ###-###-####) if you want to see them in person...

Are there any city-run rec centers in your area with an indoor pool? Maybe a community college or YMCA? Northlake College in Irving has an indoor pool with water aerobics. Also, the city of Irving has an indoor pool in it's senior center, but you don't have to be a senior to participate in their water aerobics class. I just don't know if you have to be an Irving resident to participate.

Congratulations on the pregnancy. I wanted to let you know that LA Fitness does have a nice pool & they do Water Aerobics 2-3 days a week either in the morning or evening. They do not have a contract so if you signed up now when it is your fifth month you can write a letter canceling your membership & still have your 6 month left. There is no contract so it is month to month which is great. Hope this helps & hope you find somewhere. You could also try the local YMCA. I'm not sure there policy but it is something to look into. Good Luck!!!

Hi A.,
A previous poster suggested Northlake College in Irving, and that's what I was going to suggest as well. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I took the water aerobics class there twice a week. My friend who was pregnant took it with me, and besides the two of us it was mostly older women. It was really fun, and really helped me stay in shape for the birth! I live in North Richland Hills, but that didn't matter as far as taking the class at Northlake.
