Does Anyone Have Any Experience with an at Home Job?

Hi J.! I work from home with a few different companies doing various things: customer service agent, administrative projects, etc.

Last April, we were over 100k in debt. My daughter was 15 months and I was 8 months pregnant. I enjoyed being home full time with my daugther and didn' want to lose that. My husband was working around the clock so that I could. But with the new baby on the way I knew there needed to be a change. I read a book called think and grow rich. And then a book called rich dad poor dad. Rich Dad Poor Dad inspired me to look into real estate and mlm's. I started asking around and was introduced to NLC International. I work for the finance sector of the company (I sell money). They are expanding internationally(so far canada & Puerto Rico). But regardless, it's all web based. So you can practiclly be anywhere in the world and still continue working. I can go on and on about this company. But to sum it up, I use the extra income to pay down our debt and by the end of this year I will be able to replace my husband's income and he will be able quite his full time job and join forces with me. Ive heard of a online company called West.com that is a good choice for working at home. My niece is doing it, she sais all she had to do was pass a few simple tests and she was signed up. Im not sure of all details but I know she takes orders from people who see something on tv that they want to order. Go to the website and check it out, see if its something that interests you. My niece loves it and says shes making $10 an hour.

Avon is a great company to work for. Everyone knows the company and the products and I make good money selling it. There is alot of opportunity, especially since your hubby is navy. You can take your business anywhere and there is only 10.00 to start nothing more. I have looked into home based jobs a while ago too and never found anything good. I too get stir crazy but 1 still have 1 home and 1 in preschool granted when DH leaves who is airforce in march they both will be going in the mornings. I have a bad back and it doesnt seem like there are places that I could work in the mornings that wouldnt require lifting.

When I had my daughter 2 years ago I felt the same stir crazy and since with back troubles I needed something I could do from home. So I started my own cross stitch group on yahoo. It helps alot having a group of my own and getting to meet new people from all over the whole and make a few friends even if they are online. I have been lucky enough to meet 1 of them but they had moved just b4 x mas. My group also let me get work as a model stitcher. I get paid in cash or stash aka supplies to support my hobby depending on who I choose to work for. Granted some jobs take up to 3 months and I get so much per stitch so even when I do get paid in cash it may be anywhere from $40 if it is small to-$250 I think is my highest so far. SUre won't pay the bills but it has helped me.

A lady that my husband works with introduced me to the business. This is the first and only business that I have personally seen someone make some substantial money with. Leigh, a friend of mine in Lexington was $300 shy of making what she makes at Pepsi last month with her Arbonne sales. She has been selling for just a little over a year.

We have a very good and supportive group. For $29 to get started...no minimum orders, and inventory to stock...I don't know of anything better to do. Arbonne works. The lady my husband works with is up to $800 per month now only 8 months or so into selling Arbonne.

***It truely comes down to what you like, are interested in, and would have fun doing. As someone here posted based on the Rich Dad Poor Dad...Direct Selling businesses do work, and can be very lucrative, but most important...you have to find one that offers products in which you would truely enjoy selling. (I personally know a woman in Arbonne that is getting her Mercedes this month and makes $6,500 a month or so now with her business) She is having fun...and everything just started coming into place for her.

I have to agree with Amy on this one I joined with Arbonne this past November and it has been great. You get to meet people and share their experiences with the great products. Theirs tons of businesses out their whatever it is, if its a MLM company make sure the products are consumable. With Arbonne they have to, their business has grown over 100% over the past three years. Thats amazing.
