Doctor Advice for OB/GYN

I'm having my 1st baby and don't have a doctor yet. I live in Colleyville but will want to have my baby in Fort Worth at Harris Downtown or Baylor All Saints. I've heard nothing but good things about Dr. Laura Bradford, but she's booked. They would like to schedule me with someone else in her practice: PattyAnn Hardt but she is a 1st year doctor which makes me very nervous. Has anyone heard of her or have other good recommendations for FW OB/GYN similar to Bradford? Thanks for your help!

What can I do next?

Thanks everyone for your help and great advice. I went ahead with an appt w/Dr. Hardt yesterday and really liked her. I do feel alot more comfortable that she is in the same practice as Robbins and Zwernemann (who were also both booked at the time of my 1st call). I'm 12 weeks along and so far so good! If anyone has been to Dr. Hardt or heard anything from others about her, please let me know. All the best to you all! I think you're great!

I go to Dr. Robert Zwernemann who is in the same practice as Bradford. He delivered my little girl back in January. I would bring a list of questions to every appointment and he was patient and would sit and talk with me until every single one was answered. My sister flies in once a year from Italy just to go to Dr. Z and a close friend of mine recently started going to him as well. Bonus: His wife is a pediatrician in Southlake. Best of luck to you!

Sorry, I am not familiar with that practice. My OB/GYN is Gilda Cipriano and I think she's GREAT!

I go to dr. Zwernamann who is in that same practice. He is good I've had better but his wife is a pedi and love her and thats why I thought I would go to him.

I don't see where you're located, but I LOVE Dr. Jeff Livingston. He's with MacArthur OBGYN. So smart, gentle and head of the department at Baylor Irving. Trusted him with our lives.

I see Dr. Bradford and you're right she is absolutly wonderful. I'm having my 2nd child and have on occassion seen the other Drs. in the practice and they seem great as well. I wouldn't be nervous about a new Dr.- a lot of times that's a good thing and she's in with a great group of Docs for reference.

I used Dr Karen Benz DO in downtown Fort Worth. Her office is right across the street from Baylor All Saints and she delivers there also. She is very patient and listens to all your concerns. My seemingly textbook pregnancy that went pear-shaped in the last two months was handled so well. I ended up delivering at 36 weeks, but she handled everything so well and I ended up with a healthy baby boy.

I have no idea who Dr. Bradford is, but my doctor is Elizabeth Stevenson. She's in the Baylor network and she is amazing. She's youngish (almost 40) and very easy to talk and relate to. She made my pregnancy experience comfortable and I would even say perfect. She really listens to what you say and talks to you without sounding "doctory," if that makes sense.

Dr Rost or Dr New (same office) in Grapevine are both awesome!

I LOVE my OB/GYN: Cynthia Robbins. Her office is very near Downtoen Ft. Worth's (what use to be called) Harris Methodist. She delivered my first baby and 2 of my sister's (soon to be another one). She always makes me feel very comfortable and like she has all of the time in the world to help you. She is wonderful and has many children of her own.
