Looking for Excellent Ob/gyn in Fort Worth Area
I'm not a mom yet, but I'm searching for a new ob/gyn - not happy with the last one. My husband & I are looking to start a family within the next year or so, so I need a good referal especially for when i do become pregnant. Maybe be interested in finding a doc who works with a midwife also. I've heard some good things about them - not having to use as much meds & having an easier delivery. Any help would be appreciated. Looking to be in the Harris SW, downtown or Baylor all Saints area! Thanks

I LOVE my OB/GYN! I see Dr. Steven Suba - his office is located in Harris SW hospital. He is really wonderful and I love his staff also. He delivered my first two and will be delivering #3 in September. We had a difficult time getting pregnant the first time and he helped us with that as well as being a huge support with a LOT of problems with our first pregnancy. All of the other OB's in the practice are wonderful and there is a midwife on staff also who is really sweet. His phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck! Finding the right OB/GYN is SOOOO important!

My doc. is so good that I drive from Arlington to Ft. Worth to see him. His name is Dr. David B. McAlpine. He's an OB/GYN fertility specialist. I have put my life in his hands and he's taken excellent care of me through surgery, radiology, and finally my pregnancy and birth. He's awesome.

Dr. Berkeley Merrill is my doctor, and I've really enjoyed him through both of my 2 sons pregnancies and deliveries. He is SW FW and delivers only at the Baylor and Harris SW locations. I don't think he does work with midwives, but I never asked so I don't know, but he is pretty conservative, which I really like. He never rushes into trying to induce you or jump too quickly into a c-section or anything like that. You had several comments on Dr. McAlpine, Dr. Merrill is in the same group as him I believe. They cover each others call on weekends and evenings.

I have a WONDERFUL ob/gyn. Her name is Laura Bradford and she is located in the downtown Ft. Worth area. Her office is located just blocks from Harris Downtown. She has been my doctor since I was nineteen - I am now 29. She has been my doctor through the diagnosis of Grave's Disease (a problem with my thyroid), Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Infertility and a surprise high-risk twin pregnancy. She is one of the most compassionate physicians I have ever come across. She is very good at what she does. Others in my family use her as well. We are thankful to her for 5 babies in our extended family. I am not sure about her use of a midwife. I don't know if she is accepting new patients but she would be worth checking out. Choosing an ob/gyn is a very personal choice - good luck!
