Just wondering if there are any new direct sales companies out there that actually sell some cool stuff?

I'm already familiar with Silpada, Stella & Dot, Avon, and Arbonne.

Thanks!

Scentsy!!
Scentsy is the top of the direct selling business right now. We have Warner's that melt wax, which releases scent. No fire risk!! Scentsy is expanding too! They just released a bath/body line, are launching a new brand May 1st (velata, which will sell chocolate fondue and warmers for that), and another (yet unannounced) brand will be released August 1st.
I love scentsy!!

I have a friend who sells for thirty-one and she is doing really well. Those bags sell themselves!

Norwex. Canadian based. I don't sell it, but have considered it. Completely chemical free cleaning products. And they really do work!

I agree with K. H. ThirtyOne is a great company. I started selling last year for "fun". The bags sell themselves!

Depends on what you call cool. I am a Juice Plus distributor and was a Wildtree Food distributor.

As an RN and Wellness Educator, I look at any and all products I'm approached about with a critical eye. Juice Plus has valid, independent research behind it's products. Wildtree Foods is an awesome food company without any artificial ingredients. I just found I did not have the time to properly promote Wildtree.

Nope. they all tend to run people off with the nonstop recruiting and pushing of sales.

If you like to be the person everyone at the neighborhood park or school runs from when they see you coming, go for it.

There are many more opportunities much more worthwhile..... sell your unwanted goods online, babysit, participate in surveys etc.

Good luck

ThirtyOne is a great direct sales company! I am not a pushy person, and don't like to pester people, but I have been able to make some extra cash with this business. The start up costs are low, and you can make what you want. The company and all the 'upline' are so encouraging and are really there to help answer your questions!

I've been taking and selling these online vitamins for a few years. I make more doing this than I do with my insurance agency...lol! Check out the website: http://www.GBGisIT.com They have been in business over 15+ years and has a huge retention for clients. Good luck!

I'm a Pampered Chef Consultant and have been for almost 10 years now. I love it and I make pretty good $$ - just made a little over $300 at my last show - woo-hoo! It's been around a pretty long time but we have a cult-like following.

I like the newer (I think) company called 31 Gifts. I'm sure you can Google it. If you're looking to just have a show, pick something you think your friends will enjoy. If you're thinking of becoming a Consultant for any company - PLEASE do your research. Google the Company name and "scam" next to it to see what you can dig up. There will always be a few people who will complain about minor points, but when you see a lot of people complaining about a bunch of the same things, run - especially if you see that the company gets its consultants or customers into agreements where their credit cards are charged month after month without a way of getting out of it. Be very careful. Lots of scams out there.

I have done several before. I first got my home biz bug back in 2006 with Beauticontrol. Great products. I still use them today. Nu Skin is another great skincare company, but the products are pretty expensive even with a rep's discount.
My most success was with a company called Noah's Ark Animal Workshop. It is like Build A Bear on wheels. Instead of having a store front, I went around to schools, camps, churches and childcare facilities. It was really fun and fit well with my skill set (I used to teach elementary).

There are many legit direct sales companies out there. I know people that do Scentsy and Party-lite (both candle and fragrance companies), Dove Chocolate and wine distributors. The biggest piece of it is realizing it is all about recruiting and booking parties to make a profit. I know people that have made very lucrative careers for themselves, so it is possible, but it is also a pretty demanding career too. Just remember you shouldn't have to put money upfront to pay for training or anything. Many will have you buy a starter kit of products to sell, but you should be able to sell it to earn your money back including a profit on top of it. If not, run the other way because it is most likely a scam. www.wahm.com is a good site to take a look at for all the different kinds of businesses out there. You can also get some sound advice from people there too. Good luck!
