I really don't want to have to call and sell anything over the phone.Any suggestions will be graetly appreciated

There honestly is no such thing as a steady income when you're self-employed. I have been a freelance public relations writer for nine years now and my income has varied a lot each year. That's one of the risks of working from home (unless you're telecommuting, but there aren't many of those jobs).

Keep in mind, too, that if you need to earn a professional income, you will likely need childcare so you have consistent work time.

The site www.wahm.com has some great articles on getting started.

Good luck!

it really depends what you like to do and you need to be realistic about it. Work at home jobs are not get rich quick jobs, they take a little bit of time to build up your income, but once you do it really helps! I work home with a wellness company doing marketing and setting up new customer accounts. I do talk on the phone a lot, but i dont sell anything and i dont cold call. I really love it! I know it is not for everyone, but for me, it has been perfect. ( http://www.PerfectWorkForMoms.com if you want to check it out at all) A lot of whether or not you will succeed depends on who is helping train you, how much support you have, and whether or not you are genuinely enjoying and caring about what you do! make sure that you are happy with it! I tried avon and things like that and was not happy, i am happy now, and i know that is why i am succeeding! :0) best of luck to you in whatever you may try!

Are you crafty? Good with a sewing machine? You can sell handmade stuff on Etsy.com

Can you write? Pitch an idea to a newspaper and be a freelancer?

Good with kids? What about watching children?

Good luck!

It sounds like you would be perfect for tutoring. You could set your own hours, work from home or meet students at the local library.

Also, as a registrar, you must be good at multi-tasking, organizational skills and computer skills. There are several companies that would hire someone to work from home as an admin for the business. It is something we are looking at for our company within the next year or so. I can only do so much and we will be checking into someone to take part of my tasks which involve quickbooks, managing travel, scheduling trucking companies to get product moved, etc.

This would eliminate MLM's which involve recruiting new people, selling and investments. I know....a lot of people love MLM's but I am just not into making money for other people.

I have an at home business that I love. It is direct selling, but I never cold call people. I mainly use my everyday interactions such as soccer practice, school pick-up, church groups, PTA, neighborhood gatherings, etc as my networking and everything is ordered off my website so I direct people there. Most direct sales are MLM, but that doesn't mean my goal is to make money for someone else!! My goal is to build my customer base and as an aside I work on building my team as people (and usually satsfied customers) show interest. The thing is you must love and use what you are selling and this makes it easy to be excited about sharing your business with others. I refuse to be the person that people see and try to avoid, so I am just not pushy about it!! If you research and find a company with competitive compensation plan, good bonus program, and if it is new to your area - so you don't have to compete with everyone coming and going- it can be a really great thing. At least it has been for me and I never thought I would be selling anything! Good luck in your search!
