Does anyone have any preference over the Denton Civic Center pool and the Natatorium indoor pool (next to Water Works)? I was interested in taking Water tots with my 6 month old and they offer it at both. I have never been to either pool. Also, has anyone done this or signing up for it this summer?
I see everyone else recommends the Natatorium because of the possibility of rain, but I always do swimming lessons at the Civic Center pool. My older boys love that pool & I figure if I've got to be in a swimming suit for lessons, I may as well get some sun! The swimming lessons are very good no matter which location you choosed. This will be our third year to take the lessons & my oldest has learned a lot.
Definately the natatorium....it's indoor and heated! The civic center pool is not! :-)
I would choose the Natatorium anyday over the CC pool. My daughter took the Mommy/ Me class when she was about 6mths old at the CC pool and I did not like it because if it rained you were out that class and the don't do makeup classes.
At least indoor, they will give the class if it's raining. If there is lightening they will cancel.
We did it at the Natatorium so we didn't risk getting rained out. Plus its so nice having the warm water.
I have not been to the Civic center pool since I was a kid. I took my daughter to the Natatorium for Water Tots 2 years ago. The instructor was great. I did like the fact that the pool was inside so the water was a constant comfortable temerature and there was no sun shinning in our eyes. I would reccommend the Natatorium. Have fun!
