Dentist
Does anyone know of a dentist that will do work and then bill you? I have been waiting for over 6 months for my husbands dental to kick in and it hasn't (he works for a really small company, and they aren't always on top of things). I have a couple of molars (one wisdom tooth) that NEED to come out. They have been giving me problems for about a year, and it has gotten to the point where I can no longer eat without excrutiating pain. However, most dentists I've called require that you pay up front. I just don't have that much right at the moment, but I'd really like to be pain free. Does anyone know a dentist that will pull these teeth and bill me? I don't qualify for any credit care plans either. It doesn't matter where they are, because I really need to get this taken care of and will go just about anywhere to do so. If anyone has any other ideas, I'd be open to suggestions. I have been taking some pain meds left over from my c section, but they don't completely help.

There is a dental school out of UIC in Chicago. The website is: http://dentistry.uic.edu/. The work is performed by students under a dentist's supervision. I have never been there but our dentist told us about it. She said the work is for a lot less. Go on the website and click on patient care at the top of the page. I know you have to pay in full at the time of service, but it would be 1/2 the cost you would pay at a regular dentist office. Good luck!!

Franklin Park Dental, in Franklin Park is awesome. There are 2 dentists, a man and a women. My husband and his mom have been going there for years, then I started going, and take my kids there. They always send me a bill in the mail after my visit

The last two dentist I went to billed me after the work was done. Grove Dental is a chain and I was very happy with them, then found out they are out of my network. I also go to Dr. Eric Wostl in Wheaton who is great, and bills after too. Both places can set up payment plans too.

Try calling Dr. Biancalana. His office is on the corner of Meacham and Biesterfield Rd. in Elk Grove Village. He's in the same strip mall as the Dunkin Donuts that just opened. He's an ausome dentist. He's very personable and just plain nice. You can ask if he'll take your cash. I know we've done so in the past when we were between insurances like you. His number is ###-###-####. Good luck!

Your husband needs to get on his benefits person at work about this. I work in HR, and if his company offers benefits after, say, 3 months of employment, and he's not receiving the benefits, there's a problem. He's entitled by law to the same benefits and timeliness as all other employees.
