Want to take my 3 and 12 year old on a cruise. Other than the Disney and Nikelodeon what other cruises that depart from Florida can you suggest are "child friendly".
Never been on a cruise yet...
Thank you

Carnival, Royal Caribbean. You are going to have so much fun on the cruise!!! I never thought I was a cruise person. We received a cruise trip as a gift. We had so much fun and can't wait to go on another one.

Carnival kids camp rocks. You can even get a sitter one night and make a reserv. in their fancy restaurant for a date night.

Hi C.. Royal Caribbean has an EXCELLENT kids program. They have different programs grouped by age so both your 3 and 12 year old will have plenty to do. They'll provide you with a pager for the 3 year old in case there are any problems or if he/she just wants you to come get them. They post a daily schedule so you'll know what activities are planned each day. You can drop them off and pick them off as you please... and the staff we encountered were so wonderful! We took our 7 yr old on his first cruise last Sept and he absolutely loved it!! In fact he spent more time in the kids club than with us! (well, almost!) He tends to be a little shy/nervous in new situations but he joined right in and had such a good time, it was all he could talk about for weeks afterwards. They even had his group perform a little song/dance parade around the ship on the last night of the cruise. They did a performance in the main dinning hall so we could see it while we ate (he'd had pizza with them earlier). Then they went on the big stage in the theater and did it again for the whole audience. I was shocked, never thought my son would do something like that. The ships are great too... most of them have upgraded pool areas with splash areas for your little one and rock climbing walls that your older one would enjoy. And while the kids are off doing their thing, you and your hubby can enjoy some wonderful relaxtion in the adults only solarium... soooo nice! Bon Voyage!
