Cramps

So, I have 3 boys and have NEVER had a problem like this. I am having constant cramps. They are not like contractions because they don't come and go. They are constantly there. For hours at a time. It is getting to be a little old. I told my doctor about them at my last appointment which was at the beginning of January, but he just said that they are "growing pains". After 3 kids, I thought I knew what growing pains are. I feel that there is much more to it then that, but then again, I am not a doctor. Has anybody ever had something like this and if so, was it really just growing pains?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

I want to thank everyone for their support. I have a dr. appt. on Friday and if I have anymore problems I will be mentioning them to him. But as we all know, men just don't understand a females body no matter how much schooling they have had. Thanks again and I wish you all the very best!

I only have 2 boys, but when I was pregnant with my second son, I also had extremly bad lower abdominal cramps. It felt like I was going to have a miscarriage! What my doctor told me is that it's the ligaments stretching, and that it gets worse with each child. Try lukewarm compresses, it helped with me.

when i had constant cramps like that i had spotting going along with it and i went to the hospital and they told me that i was mis carrying, i would take a pregnancy test, if you are miscarrying it will show up, if it says that you are i would make another appointment and tell the doctor that you think you may be pregnant and did a home test and it says you are and you want to confirm it and talk about the cramps.

Hey A.!

How are you doing? Congrats on your 4th child! Beat you all are getting excited. Well, it sounds to me it has to do with the way your baby is positioned. The thing I would do is ask your doctor to check it again if you are really concerned about it. If it is hurting you make sure and let your doctor know that. Also, you may want to get another doctors opinion that is in the office too or a different office. You may want to get a book about expecting your 4th child and see what it says about it. Sometimes doctors just don't tell you everything. You may also want to check the internet too. Every pregnancy can be so different. Each one with a new and different story. Are you having any problems with acid or problems when you eat spicy foods? If so, you may want to try some tums. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had so many problems with this issue. Ended up having to take some tums after I ate each meal! I still have problems with it today! lol! From my experience, I think your baby is a girl! I had a lot of problems with my daughter and not my son. So I wouldn't be surprised if it's a girl. Good luck and god bless you and your family.

Take care,
C.

With my fourth pregnancy I had wierd shotting pains, and some funky nerve pain in my belly button. Can't explain it. The doctor always blew it off as me just growing...etc. I believe that you know your body better than the doctors do, and if you believe something is wrong, see another doctor. I had mothers instinct I believe when I was pregnant with my daughter. I made them induce me two weeks early and it is a good thing that I did. She had the cord around her neck three times, and was not alive when she was born. They got her revived, thank God, and told me that if we would have waited even one more day, she would have been lost. So I think that we know ourselves and our bodies, and we know what feels normal and what doesn't. Try changing your foods, no spicy etc, and drink more water. That may help with some of the cramping. Not to be crude, but do you have regular bowel movements? Sometimes that get constricted durring pregnancy. Well good luck and I hope that things turn out great for you. Good luck on the girl. My last one was a girl finally. 4 boys and 1 girl. (I only delivered 4 out of the 5, I got one as a bonus when I met my husband). Have a great week.

I Know what your talking about I have them too and im pregnant also due in May. My doc says that the more times you are pregnant the more uncomfortable you are. I thought it was wierd but I beleve it!! I always cramp up more on my left side but somtimes its just all around the bottom half of my tummy. I hope this helps you out and try not to worry! By the way what day are you due? Im due May 26.

it could be the way the baby is positioned and pressing on your bones. Maybe your last babies didn't prefer to sit this way.. Have you asked about them being braxton hix contractions. My sister had these "almost constantly for the last 3 mos." according to her.

When i was pg with my daughter i would get something they call Branson hicks. They were kinda kick contractions but not as bad and they would come and go alot too. I would try taking a warm bath.. There is not much you can do for them i don't think. I know i would take a warm bath and that would help alittle.. Sorry i can't be more help..

Hi there!!! Just wanted to tell you that I have three kids, oldest two are boys and my youngest is a girl. Strangely enough I had the same problem with my little girl. The doc told me that with each pregnancy you are more sensitive and notice these pains more. and yes, they were a constant cramping too. It stinks. As long as the baby has a good strong heartbeat and was moving, I was told not to worry about it. And of course, you'll notice those Braxton Hicks a lot sooner too....I'm so glad for you all and God bless you!!!
