Cold Weather Recipes
Hi Mamas! Now that summer is winding down and we are heading for some cooler weather I am looking for some ideas on meals. What are your favorite fall/ cold weather meals? I have a crockpot I use ALL the time and would love some recipes for that as well.
Thanks!

I love my crockpot and use it all the time. Check out allrecipes.com I get tons of great meals from there. You can just put crock pot or slow cooker in the search box, or you can search by ingredients you have on hand. I always sort by rating to get the best recipes! I love to make chili, BBQ pulled prk, sloppy Joe, any sort of roast, clam showder, stew, to name just a couple. Here is a few links to my favorite crock recipes from the site. Take a few minutes to read others ratings/suggestions and they really help! Enjoy.

This is a favorite in our household and it's sooo easy!
Vegetable Beef Soup
Saute a diced onion in a large soup pot. Brown 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey, chicken, etc), in same pot. Once meat is browned add enough beef broth to cover meat. Add one bag of frozen mixed veggies (whatever kind you like...we usually use the corn, green beans, lima beans, peas, carrots mix). Add 4 cups of V8 juice (sometimes I mix 2 cups of Spicy V8 with 2 cups of regualr V8). Add a can of kidney beans if you like them. Simmer until heated through. We like to serve it over cooked macaroni noodles. As an alternative, sometimes we throw in a cup of brown rice or barley when we add the veggies and then obviously don't serve the noodles. I haven't done this in the crock pot, but I'm sure you certainly could. Enjoy!
