I am using cloth diapers myself. I have started making them, and was wondering if anyone on here knows of places to sell them. I know about etsy, and i don't mind listing there, but it seems there are a ton listed. So does anyone have other website that I can use to sell them on. I did also post on craigislist. Also is it better to offer moms the chance to choose their own fabric and make them up that way, or is it better to have them premade. I am thinking offering both ways, pre made and custom made.

As a mom using cloth diapers what is it that you like in them and don't like. I want to be able to make a good product that will sell, and get good reviews. Do you like having a choice between velcro and snaps.

What can I do next?

You've already gotten a lot of good information. I would also suggest looking into www.diaperswappers.com. They have a section just for WAHMs.

From what I have observed is that most WAHM mom's do a mix of custom and premade diapers. Often offering the premades at a slightly cheaper price than the customs but not always. Some mom's are willing to wait for a custom order because they love the ideas of choosing a specific inner and outer fabric as well as the closure method (snaps v. aplix). Where other mothers would rather just get the diapers right away and are willing to take what ever you've got in stock.

I'd love to see what you have to offer if you'd like to message me! I've tried a large variety of diapers and also make my own on occasion (though I've never sold them). I'm not sure if you're looking for feedback on your diapers themselves but I'd love to help you out if I can.

Make a facebook page. I am fans of several homemade cloth diaper makers and love them. You could have all exposures, etsy, craigslist, and facebook.

I own a company called My Mamma's Milk (http//:www.mymammasmilk.com) and I buy from many WAHMs. Whenever I can, I buy from very small manufacturers (like Keekaroo and Bumboosa) or handmade items from moms (why support some massive company that makes millions when I can help our a mom??). I would like to try out your diaper and see if I can give you a spot in our line-up! I am currently looking for a talented WAHM that can make prefolds that are embellished and contours.

Check out the site and let me know!

Peace!

I would say a choice is good. Velcro is easier for us, because my son is so wiggly. For some mothers, snaps are better so their child can't take the diaper off. I personally love one-sized diapers. I can't stand sized diapers! I will ONLY buy a diaper, if it is not sized.
Focus on absorbency and durability. If I have a diaper that leaks constantly, I am not a happy mama! Leaky diapers are the WORST! I also want my diapers to last. I don't want to buy more diapers, should we have another child.
Set your self apart, with how our diapers look. I have a boy and am always on the look our for unique prints. It's very hard to find really cute diapers for boys. Neutral prints and colors are great, too!

Here is a site you can try, to sell your diapers. I have bought several diapers from there.
