My little and favorite cleaning trick is to use bounce/ dryer sheets. Most ppl just throw them away after they have done their job in the laundry but I keep mine in an old kleenex box and use them to dust with. I find using a wet cloth to dust or a duster just makes more of a mess but a used dryer sheet collects all of the dust around my house. I even attach them to my dry swiffer and run it along my hardwood floors. Works great

I'm a chemical user. I use pledge on the wood, windex on windows & mirrors, comet on toilts & sinks, scrubbing bubbles in the tub & lysol on the floor. I love love love gain (original scent) on my laundry & can't say enough wonderful things about resolve (clothes and fabric/carpet). I also love using vinegar on hard water stains. Dawn dish soap all the way for dishes. (Cascade for dishwashwer).

Caldrea cleaning products, hands down. And of course the tried and true vinegar and baking soda. But Caldrea is the one and only product with a nice smell that doesn't give me a headache and doesn't contain harmful ingredients. Love them!

I use vinegar as fabric softener, to clean the microwave, leave it soak in toilets overnight then clean them, clean showers, sinks (put baking soda on the bottom of sink, pour some vinegar in there, let it fizz up, then scrub....there are so many uses!

Bar Keeper's Friend works wonders on sinks and faucets, and shining up the copper pots! I also keep a container of Clorox wipes under each sink in the house because they're perfect for a quick wipedown. Also, dryer sheets are very useful. Someone else mentioned using used dryer sheets to dust with--I also use a dryer sheet in the bottom of the trash can to help with smells, and in my winter coat pocket to lightly rub my hair in case of static. :)

IMO the Mr. Clean magic sponge is the best cleaning invention to come out in ages. My counters would be so stained without it.

Hands down Mr. Clean magic eraser. I didn't buy into it when it first came out even though literally everyone I met told me it works.
LOVE IT.
I also stand by comet, windex, pledge, simple green, lysol kitchen cleaner, and good ol fashioned SOS pads. =)

Vinegar and baking soda. And vinegar followed by a spray of hydrogen peroxide kills germs. I still use bleach in the toilets though - I'm not sure I'll be able to go THAT green.

I also use 7th Generation as well as Method products. I use Citra Solv dishwashing soap in my dishwasher and am very happy with it. We used to occasionally run a cycle of Tang in the dishwasher to keep the insides of the washer clean, but now with the Citra Solv, there is no need for the extra maintenance.

I was just thinking the other day how ridiculously happy I am with my Black and Decker Scrub Buster. Plus I feel that our Kirby vac is great, especially as a rug shampooer. Now, I did not pay for the Kirby, (so expensive!) but I think I would if I had the $$ and knew what to expect; it is close to 20 years old and going strong.

just discovered that baking soda sprayed with concentrated vinegar on my ceramic tile floor does wonders to clean grout and dirt that gets stuck in tile pits. Still takes a brush and elbow grease, but much less of it.

My Favorite Cleaner is Sol-U-Mel it cleans everything and since it is chemical free I can use it around my kids. It impressed me when I used it to clean pencil and marker off my wall when my 1 year old, now 2 decided to draw me a picture.

I used to use Mr. Clean, but when I saw what the Magic Eraser did to a child when they got a hold of it I stopped.

I agree with many others who've said vinegar and baking soda! You can also use it to clean a slow drain. First, add the baking soda down the drain, followed by the vinegar. Let it sit for about 30 minutes. Then rinse with hot water. My kids get a kick out of the "magic" reaction when you combine the vinegar with the baking soda. Vinegar is also great for cleaning glass and I use it to get the gunk out of a flower vase.

These 2 products can clean a million things and I love that it's not dangerous to use around my kids. And no, my house does not smell of vinegar. The smell goes away once it dries.

You know the mesh scrubbies you use for food that is stuck on your dishes? I discovered the other day that they work awesome for soap scum! And because they are "safe for nonstick cookware", they also won't scratch your sinks or tub. Dollar Tree sells mesh scrubbies that have a little sponge inside of them that work the best. They come in a package of 3 for a dollar.

My Bissell Swift Sweep works great for cleaning kitty litter that gets out of the box. We use Feline Pine (clumping), which is made out of pine instead of clay. The Swift Sweep picks it up off of low-pile carpet and tile. It also picks up cat hair, people hair and lint. Keeps the floors looking nice between vacuums, and doesn't have a motor, so it doesn't scare the cat, either.

We use used dryer sheets to clean the lint trap on the dryer.

I LOVE clorox wipes!!!! I wipe everything with them (door knobs, counters, faucet handles, etc) especially when I'm in "OMG, a cold/flu virus is going around, must clean every square inch" mode.

I love the green scratchy pads!!
I like clorox toilet bowl cleaner and the drop in tablets
I like swiffer, I used the disposable wet pads that smell realllllyyyyy good
I love any vacuum that has awesome suction and awesome suction power on the detachable hoses (cat litter that gets on the floor)

I LOVE Viva paper towels! Paper towels are my favorite cleaning and daily hand washing accessory.

Method products all the way! They are non-toxic and have yummy fragrances! My favorites are the cucumber spray cleaner, the eucalyptus mint bathroom cleaners (toilet bowl, tile/sink), and the basil or the Clementine dish soaps. Oh yeah, and the laundry detergent kicks booty - no measuring and pouring, just pump a few squirts into the washer and yo are done!

I like Lyme Away and CLR. They are all I need. They cut hard water and clean everything much better than any other product I've used. I use Lyme Away on everything. It's a hard cleaner, so I just make sure I wash it all away real good. I also like the disinfectant wipes for the outside of the toilet and seat.

The Melaleuca products that I get are the best!!! I don't have to worry about them hurting the kids or the dog. I don't have to worry about them affecting me physically, such as create asthma symptoms, or being afraid of mixing the wrong chemicals.

They are simply the best! AND THE WORK!

Green Works all purpose cleaner - I get the concentrated bottle & mix it in my own spray bottle.

Arm & Hammer Scrub Free for tub/shower

"Swiffer" type mop with a regular rag instead of buying refills

Usually just use liquid dish soap & water to mop

Windex for glass/mirrors

Bon Ami or Bar Keeper's Friend

A scrubbie, like Scotch-brite Dobie all-purpose pads

I vacuum, not sweep.
