Cell Phone - Princeton,MN
I am looking to purchase a new phone and would like any suggestions on the brand/kind I should get. I want a touch screen, smart phone. I have my current phone through Verizon and just want to upgrade and stay with them as my carrier. I did check into the DroidX2 and Thunderbolt but really am not sure what is best if maybe neither of them. The perks I would be looking for is internet access, camera, misc apps, texting, and misc apps.

We have Verizon and my hubby has a Droid. In the most remote areas of America Verizon phones get better service. Upper MI, Upper MN, Northern WI, Maine, hills of VA, in elevators and through tunnels on the Metro. My hubby's friends have the iPhone and always lose calls while he does not.

I don't have Verizon, but can highly recommend anything that is Android based. (I am a very long time Sprint customer...about 20 years or more..when cell phones were 30 minute plans, we pushed send and end and they were fairly chunky! LOL Man were we excited for them after using pagers...well I never had a pager but hubby did! LOL) I have an HTC EVO 4G (since the day they came out) and I love it...the camera, apps, size, all of it!. Find a Verizon phone you love!!
Have fun phone shopping!

I have a Droid X and like it. The Thunderbolt (per our IT guys at work) still has a lot of "bugs" and the battery life is bad. The apps aren't as great through Verizon, but there are more every day!

I just ordered the Casio Gz'One Commando from Verizon for $140. I am hard on phones and it can sit in water for up to 1/2 hour! I haven't actually used it yet but it was toted as perfect for a first time smart phone and for someone who is hard on their phones. Perfect for me!!

I've heard that the 4G phones from Verizon (such as the Thunderbolt) don't have all the bugs worked out yet. I've got the Samsung Fascinate from Verizon. I got it on Black Friday last year & love it.

My mom and sister have Droid's and HATE them. Hubby has an iPhone and so far so good. I'm skeptical of touch screens, but don't recommend a BlackBerry. So if you want a touch screen I'd go with an iPhone.
