Cool Phone - Besides the Iphone?

I'm not very up-to-date on the latest phones, so I'm hoping someone can give me some advice. I want to upgrade to a new phone that has a keyboard so I can text more easily (only way to communicate with our college-aged kids these days!) and if it had some good games or video applications to entertain my younger ones during long wait times at the doctors, check-out lines, etc., that would be great. Sending and receiving email would be a bonus, but not necessary. My husband has the IPhone which is really cool, but drives me crazy.......drops calls or doesn't accept calls or messages all the time (AT&T service.) Is there another cool option out there with better service? Thanks!

I have a Palm -Pre from Sprint and love having access to email and facebook. I get alerts from my bank. etc.. I love the calendar option I have 3 kids that play soccer and I keep the schedules on it. Also when I get emails with attachments it allows me to look at them. Not to mention upload mobile pics to my facebook I love it it took me some time getting used to. It is a touch screen and also has a keyboard for easy texting.

My hubby loves his Samsung Impression and you can have the data pkg with AT&T. It has the slide out keyboard. I have the LG Neon which I love. It also has the data pkg option and the slide out keyboard. Hope this helps.

I have Verizon and have had it for about a year now and love it! Not many drop calls in the Granbury area. For our family of 4, internet for only me and hubby, unlimited text for all, 1400 minutes to share, and also get to monitor the kids phones with parental controls of time limits and calling restraints if needed. All that for about $220. My oldest son uses the Samsung Alias and I believe they now have an Alias 2 that has a side flip out keyboard that he loves cus its easier to text for him and he's in 8th grade. It comes with a few games but you can download game aps for a small fee. Its worth it for us!

love my iPhone with ATT, but recently it began messing up so I took it to the apple store and they said that I needed to update to the latest software 3.2 or something like that, problem solved apparently the 3.0 version had some bugs in it. tell your hubby to try that or take it in to the apple store, it shouldn't be doing that.

Love my iPhone

I have the palm pre (which I am using right now to Mamasource), and its reaaly pretty cool. It has a touch screen as well as full keyboard. I am still trying to figure out all of its nifty little features. It only works w/Sprint. I've had Sprint for 10 years, and it seems to have the best coverage here and nationwide. When I was out in Colorado a while back my Sprint phone was the only one (there was 12 of us) that worked in the mountains. If you get it, go through Best Buy. They do the rebate in store so you don't have to pay it up front.

I have the LG Neon. It slides sideways to reveal a keyboard that is great for texting. I love it. It has demo games only, unfotunately. However, one of the demos is Mrs. Pacman. I have considered the download, because I like that game. It is about the only video game I was ever interested in.

Hold off for the Motorola Droid which comes out on Friday through Verizon.

I use T Mobile which I love. I had the G1 (not the My Touch) and loved it. It has the full keyboard as a slider and also has the touch screen and can download aps - some free, some for a fee. I went back to just a "regular" phone so we could cut down on costs and not pay the extra amount.

I have the AT&T Quickfire, it is a slide phone with touch screen. I love the qwerty keyboard is very user friendly for texting and answering email. It has the capability for more internet usage, but I did not sign up for that service, only email. It is smaller than the Iphone, and all of my teenage dgtr friends thought it was cool (they seem to know what's good in technology). I use it mainly for calls, texts and checking email, so I don't know about the gaming apps. Good Luck!
