Car Repair Service/Mechanic in Round Rock or Cedar Park

My 6 year old Ford Explorer keeps breaking down. The air conditioner keeps shutting off, which is miserable in this heat. I had it worked on a couple months ago, but I'm starting to suspect the place we take it is overcharging us. Every time we walk through the door, it costs us several hundred dollars. I need to find a trustworthy mechanic who won't overcharge us. Thanks for any recommendations.

We use a really awesome mechanic called John & Corky's, behind Luby's at Hester's Crossing. They have won many awards and have been really honest and helpful with our car woes.

Both my husband and I have used carl's Automotive in Round Rock, ###-###-####, 1311 Clark St, which is off Sam Bass Rd. They came highly recommended to us from a car hound friend. We have always had wonderful, reasonable service from them. My husband has an old Ford Explorer as well. Good Luck and welcome to the Austin Area!!!

In Cedar Park off crystal falls rd there is a small place called All Day All Night. They are amazing .... we stoped in one day for something small they fixed it with 5 minutes. The key is they are open all day and all night. Which helps when you have a family picking up a car. Tell them K. Reagan sent you my car was there last week for the windsheild. Everyone I have referred has been more than happy. Their motto is they can be a honest mechanic!

They are excellent and although they aren't cheap - they also aren't rediculously overpriced. They will do whatever it takes and accomodate you in any way possible. Excellent service and their guys really know their stuff!

Buddys Under the Hood was great to us. Both my car and my husbands work truck have needed several things from maintenance to major over the years and they have never over charged and even sent my husband to the auto store and instructions to do it at home once or twice. Buddy really works there and his wife does the books -- nice family.

I like Christian Brothers on Louis Henna in Round Rock. I tried them after reading recommendations online. They were courteous and kind when talking to me, and that carried over to the work they did on my car. It was done when they said it would be done, the problem was fixed, and the price was reasonable. I just tried Youngblood Automotive after someone told me they were cheaper than Christian Brothers and did good work, but I really didn't feel that they measured up. They fixed the problem for a reasonable price, but not in time, and I had to go back for something minor that they neglected to do, and the front desk guys didn't even acknowledge me for a couple minutes after I walked in there to begin with.

I know a great place in Round Rock called Pampered Auto Care off 1325. I always ask for a certain mechanic his name is Steve. He always explains to me the problem up front in words I understand. I have never been tried to have something sold to me that I don't need. They always fix the problem right the first time. I strongly recommend it.

Hi! A friend referred Rose Auto to us 5 years ago when we lived in North Austin, and now we live in SW Austin, but still make the trip when needed to their shop, and won't take our cars to anyone else. Rose Auto is owned by Chris and Keira Rose, and they are the most honest, trustworthy, and kind people you will meet. They are located at Mopac/Scofield Ridge Pkwy area. Their number is ###-###-####. Thanks! Renee

I go to Christian Brothers on Vista Ridge and 1431. They have been wonderful to my and my husband. They never try to sell me something I need and have great customer service. The prices are good and I have been there 3 times and when I call they know me already. I love them and won't go anywhere else.

Phil is usually the one I talk with. Hope that helps!
