Car Repair Question Keller/North Fort Worth

DH truck having problems. Test suggests cylinder 6 misfire. All sparkplugs have recently been replaced and the check engine light continued to come on. Mechanic rechecked and said a gasket/seal needed to be repaired/replaced because water was getting in to the oil. Quote to repair is $370/replace is $1650. Do you have recommendations for honest service shop that will guarantee their work? I've done some research online and sounds like this happens often in Dodges. Looking for recommendations in Keller/Fort Worth area.

What can I do next?

Jeffrey's Automotive on Denton Hwy. They have been in business forever and it is a family run business. We have always gotten great business and great prices with anything we need there.

We had heard great reviews on Bill's Half-Price Auto Repair, and so we took our car there... we had been quoted over $3000 on repairs at one place, and then he did the work (some that didn't even need to be repaired that the company told us did!), for $700. He has a location on Harmon Road, off of Heritage Trace & 35, and then another shop over off of Kroger, near the Let's Jump area. Hope that helps!!

I highly recommend Christian Brothers Automotive Repair on Rufe Snow in North Richland Hills (just over the border from Keller). I would have to agree with the review on Yelp (http://www.yelp.com/biz/christian-brothers-automotive-ruf..., they are one of the few places I really can trust with my vehicles. I have taken each of our vehicles there several times and trust them.

Alliance Keller Auto Care they're right across the street from Kids R Kids on Keller-Haslet Rd. They're honest and budget friendly. My husband had 2 quotes on his a/c and they came in at $200 vs. a quote for $400 from somebody else. They also did his oil change for cheap and told him alignment on my car would have been around $50 instead of the $60 we paid elsewhere or the $80 the dealer would have charged us.

I'll second Bill's Half-Price Auto. My MIL had a pump breakdown in her car when they were here visiting. Called another place for an estimate then called Bill's, it really was about 1/2 the cost. They did the work same day so she could get back on the road; she was thrilled with the quality, price, & workmanship - they've had no problems with the car since.

Keller Auto all the way. It's right next to Judge Bean's. The shop manager, Dale, is super honest and prices are lower than most!

We also have a Dodge (Durango) We have used and been very happy with Paul's Automotive on Kroger drive. Their quotes have always been cheaper than the other quotes we got and the work has always been great. However, the last time we had our car in, the new manager...although wonderful and still did a great job, was a little difficult to communicate with. My MIL recently tried Bill's Half Priced (off Kroger as well), This was the first time she went somewhere other than the dealer. Her and my FIL were very pleased. We are going to give them a try next time.
