Can You Recommend a Good Spill-proof Cup?

I am tired of wasting money on so-called "spill-proof cups." I am looking for a cup to transition between bottle and regular cup that my daughter can drink her milk through without spilling everywhere. Are there any out there that use a straw and do not spill? What other suggestions do you have? Thank you.

I guess First years is good for skipping amjojr spill, it will still leak (good at dinner time or so). On the go I use Gerber cups. They have small valves but easy to wash and just one piece. My daughter used them for over a year now and I had to exchange the valves in probably 3-4 of them. You can get valves separatly in Albertson. I love Gerber, no leaking there

My mom bought the first years disposable sippy cups for my daughter and we haven't had any problems with them. We put them in the dishwasher and they are fine. My nephews have some straw cups that look just like them and they don't spill either.

I have the Nuby cups with straws and they haven't leaked for me.

My 9 month old son has not really "gotten" sippy cups, but he does really well with the Nuby brand cups with soft flexible straws. I recommend them! I think we bought ours at wal-mart.

We had really good luck with the disposable ones, both with the sippy top and with the straw. Our 3yo still likes the ones with the straw! I don't remember the brand, I think First Years. I bought them at Target in a 4 pack. They are disposable, but we just toss them in the dishwasher and they do fine. At least if something does happen and it gets lost or broken or something it's not a big deal to toss it!

I have cabinets full of sippy cups & have tried them all & finally found "born free" cups at Whole Foods. I use the nuby straw cups for water BUT only the "born free" cup goes in my bag. The others sometimes leak and the straws are hard to get really clean when you use for milk. The born free cups have two different spouts, one hard & one soft for transitioning from bottles. I suggest you buy the drinking cups with the hard spouts & buy the soft spouts seperate, all the tops are interchangeable on one bottle. It has a special valve that prevents colic/gas & prevents ear infections (low negative pressure rating meaning they don't have to suck so hard). Trust me these are the best, pricey $10 each but so worth it, I have 3 and plan on buying 3 more. I even put the parts together while still wet, pour milk in & into my handbag...not one drop spilled. You can get them at Whole Foods but are usually sold out (I asked someone there & they got me some from the back storage area) or you can buy from their website at www.newbornfree.com
Hope this helps...good luck transitioning :)

There are sippy cups with cartoon characters for heads. We have bought them from "Barney" to "Curious George" and none of them have leaked. You can find them at any grocery store or Target in the juice isle. Good Luck!

Hi there
My 12 month old uses two kinds of cups she uses a sippy cup and a straw cup..They are both gerber.. I purchased them at walmart.. Like someone else said you just put it in the dish-washer and thats it. The straw cups are all different colors and the sippy cup are blue, one with handles and the other without.. I love them.. I havent had problems with neither of them.. Good Luck

I use the Nuby straw cups with the clear bottoms and the insulated bottoms. Both are good about not leaking. I have had the clear bottoms ones get shoved in the diaper bag and do fine and other times, they get sideways (and maybe jostled) then they have leaked, but for just dropping or tipping over, I haven't had them leak. Good luck!

Oh, I got them at Walmart.
