I tested positive using the clearblue ovulation on my day 22. Can I get pregnant on day 27, after 5 days of ovulation? I have irregular cycle, but since I have been on Clomid, my cycle has been average of 33 or 34 days.

What can I do next?

Yes, you can get pregnant ANY TIME during your cycle. Sometimes we can ovulate twice a month.

But haven't you heard that if you're trying to avoid getting pregnant you should always, always use protection even if you "know" it's during a supposedly safe time?

You can get pregnant anytime you have unprotected sex. While it's not typical to get pregnant outside of your ovulation window, it's certainly not impossible.
