I am 30 soon to be 31. My breast cup is a small B. I have wanted implants for the longest time and I think I have the opportunity. I have my reasons as to why I want to do this but the most important reason is that it is for me and no one else. I do not think guys will like me more I am not looking for someone beings I am already with someone. He loves me the way I am but is supportive if I decide to do this. I am looking for moms who have had this done. How did you tell people? How did your kids deal with it? If you work how did you ask for time off? Also I live in the Lehigh Valley area and am wondering if anyone can suggest a DR. I am doing research but it is always good to be referred.

Thanks for reading. :)

Go for it!!! I have had mine for 6 months and it was the best decision. I went in on Wed and was up and about after three days...can't lift heavy things for several weeks though. My kids didn't notice, my husband just told them I was not feeling well, and I don't make it known to everyone that I had it done. Spend the extra for silicone and under the muscle.... definitely worth the extra cost. I checked out several doctors before picking mine. You'll know when you find the right one for you.

I don't live in your area so I can't give you a Dr recommendation, but I want to say go for it! If its something you want to do and are excited about it, do it! You don't have to tell anyone what you are doing. Its really noones business, but if you do decide to tell others, just accept that not everyone will support your decision and some will give you a hard time. As far as time off, you may have to take vacation time since its not a medical necessity. Good luck!

Are you guys finished having babies? My mom had a reduction and the doctor ended up taking out too much or cutting across tissue in such a way that she was unable to produce enough milk for her youngest baby. And this is a woman that literally made enough milk to feed twins with her other (single birth) babies. I'm not sure if this anecdote will be relevant to you, but I wanted to put it out there just in case as something to talk w/ your doctor about.

the women I know who verbally shared the "news" regretted opening their mouths.

the women who simply did it for themselves....enjoyed them more.

my best friend did an implant on one side to match the reconstructed side after breast cancer. She now regrets that decision due to scarring. When she has her mammogram....rarely does she pass without requiring additional testing due to scarring from the implant. She hates it! & I don't blame her....

I haven't had it done, but I wouldn't tell anyone other than who you want to tell. No one needs to know. This is for you and you alone. I wouldn't tell your kids either. There's just no reason unless you want to. For work, do you have saved time off? That's what my hubby has. He doesn't have to give a reason, he can just use whatever is saved. Is that a possibility for you? If not, you could always say you need time off for surgery. I'm pretty sure they can't ask you for details. Good luck!

No recommendations for Dr.s but think about how big you want to go. I am a DD naturally and I have had a lot of back problems due to the size of my breasts. If I knew I would be able to nurse children after I would have had a breast reduction. You may be small now, but don't go too big. You don't want to give yourself other problems. I think a c cup would be ideal. At least for me it would be. I was a D a long time ago, and that is when my back problems started and they only got worse as I moved into a DD. Just wanted to give a perspective on the other end of the spectrum. I think it is great to what will make you feel better. Good luck!!!!

I had them done about 9 months ago and don't regret it for a second. As you already know, do your research and make sure you're selecting the right doctor. I didn't tell anyone other than my husband, sisters and parents and NO ONE has noticed. I was nervous about whether or not anyone would notice and what my response would be but it really has not been an issue for me although I stayed small (I'm about the same size or smaller than when I was nursing). My sister has had hers for 20+ years and has had no problems of complications either. Good luck, send me a message if you have questions.

I did it in 2006 (for my own reasons as well :) ) and its literally the BEST money I've ever spent. I went from a B/C to a DD.. I didn't have a kid yet so I just had to tell my family which I just said "Oh, by the way.. I'm doing this on this date." Didn't make a huge deal out of it or anything. I'll give you one piece of advice that I took and I'm SO glad I did.. I wanted to go from the B/C to a full D but the doc said "just make sure because if you're debating between a D and DD go bigger because if you don't then you'll wish you did.." I said "Okay.. but do what looks good." I got in the OR and it turned out the DD fit my body SO much better. People can't tell they aren't real (not because they aren't perfect, because they are, just because they really "fit" my body). So go bigger if you're unsure. As for the kids if they are younger I wouldn't say anything, just that mommy has an owie and can't pick you up for a little while.. trust me you don't want them running around town telling people mommy got new boobs! Haha! I doubt they'll notice the size difference anyway. As for work just go to HR tell them that you are having a procedure, you should be able to go back to work after a few days (depending on your job) I was back to work like 4-5 days later.. if you have a desk job then for sure you should be good. Don't let anyone talk you out of it.. all my family that had bad things to say about it turned out to just be too scared to do it for themselves and would do it in a heartbeat and were jealous. This is YOUR decision and don't tolerate any negative comments, people can be so rude!

And I'd have to disagree on the mom who said get silicone.. I did saline. They feel and look real I have a friend who did the silicone and they are harder and they are always a different temp than the rest of her body (like her boobs are always colder). Hers are under the muscle as well but they still don't feel right. I'd reccommend saline under the muscle.. I didn't tell my husband they were fake until a bit into our relationship (he'd already felt them) and was blown away!
