My daughter is 10 and has entered puberty. We have purchased some bras for her, but the straps are very thin and the bras are cheaply made. Unfortunately, these are Hanes brand.
Several bras have come apart with minimal wear. Can anyone direct me to a better brand to try where the straps will hold up and the bra is sewn together better?

We stuck with sports bras at that age. They are more comfortable and hold up longer. Unbelievably, it's hard to find little girl's bras that do not have padding or underwire.
Just what every 10 year old needs, a push-up padded bra, right?
I got my daughter Fruit of the Loom sports bras that look like a half a tank top. They are stretchy cotton and more comfortable then the cheap lacy stuff.

You have received some good responses so far so I won't repeat anything. what helped me when my nieces went through this (I help my brother raise his daughters) was to get help. I took them to a department store and had a trained clerk help us find the right size and brand of bra for each girl. It helped us so much. We went to Macy's, but many department stores will help you.

My daughters prefer pull over sports bras to regular training bras. Thicker straps, more comfortable and they have held up well. We got a few at Kohl's and also from Justice.
At her age I honestly would be looking more into sports bras or just tank tops, unless she is up over a Bcup already.
Consider going to a department store (like JC Penny's) and looking at various brands. You did not say what size she is and what materials they were made from. Does she like the sports bra type? We also found a number of serviceable bras for my SD at Target (where, honestly, I get many of my bras - there's a "barely there" type with lace that I find fits nicely.) She may need to try on several versions of bras to find what fits, and it might also be good to get a fitting or at least take measurements at home before you go.
You can get training bras almost any where.
A pull over sports bra type works well.

I would start out with a sports bra. You can get good ones where your purchase good athletic wear, (Academy, etc).
You can also find them at Kohl's and Target.
I'd buy one or two styles and see what she likes best, then stock up on the favorite.

Times have changed...the girls of today probably aren't going to wear bras like we wore as tweens.
I bought a bunch from Walmart and they lasted just fine. I wash everything on warm and dry clothes on delicate or perma press. Other stuff I might dry on high but nothing clothing.
The bras from Walmart were really cute and she's worn them for a couple of years. Got both print and solid.

But I did buy a few sports bras at a dance studio store, about $15-$20 each and I expect them to last for years and several cup sizes.
I was a bra fitter at Penney's for 3 yrs. Penney's has good quality bras --- and a clearance rack. I always check the clearance rack before I look in another part of the store.
Have her fitted and have the associate help you select good fitting bras.
