I just had a miscarriage a week ago and I have been reading alot about it and low progesterone level and blood clotting disorders are some of the causes for miscarriage. I pass alot of blood clots during my period, I am wondering if I have a blood clotting problem? I had an easy pregnancy with my son though.

I am going to the doc tomorrow so I will ask her more about this but just wanted to know if any ladies out there have more info on blood clotting disorder and miscarriage.

Thanks in advance !

What can I do next?

We always look for answers as to why we miscarry, but most of the time there isnt one.... and most of the time we get pregnant again with no bad repercussions.
If they knew the answer they would all be prevented.
I often had clotty cycles, it probably doesnt have anything to do with it.
Our bodies miscarry because something is just wrong that time around, it's nature doing it's job.

One of my best friends had 3 miscarriages and it was finally discovered that she had a clotting disorder. Her uterine lining was so thick, the embryos couldn't implant correctly. She went on an aspirin therapy regimen (basically a children's aspirin once a day) and the next time she got pregnant, it all went fine! Definitely speak to your doctor about it!

Sorry for your loss. The doc may not want to do any testing unless it happens again. I had no problem with my son (3yr) during pregnancy or after delivery. Last year I had 2 early miscarraiges, got tested for clotting issues, and turns out I have 2. I am currently 27wks with baby #2 and am on baby aspirin and injections daily to prevent clots. It was just strange cause I'd never had a clot in my life and no problems with my son. Also, I never have alot of clots with my periods, so who knows. Hope you can get some answers, but like I said, they may want to see if it happens again (as sucky as that is). Good luck!
