I just found out that I (we) are pregnant again and am in search of both a good doctor and hospital here. I'm originially from Tucson and had my first at the Women's Center in Northwest Tucson. It was a great experience; Large private birthing rooms, seperate facility from the hospital across campus, no restrictions on # of visitors, great nursing staff, etc. I really hope to have a similar experience in Phoenix, but have no clue where to to begin. I'd prefer to have a doctor who is pretty open in his/her practice, staff is OK with you being late to appointments, doesn't make you wait an hour at appointments. etc. Please send me your experiences. Thank you:)

Depending on what part of Phoenix you live, I recommend Scottsdale Healthcare. All rooms are private and have wonderful amenities, but the staff is outstanding. As far as OB/GYN - I would recommend Julie Castilla, MD and her group in Scottsdale.

Scottsdale Healthcare just received MAGNET status and has a wonderful reputation. It is on the list of Best Hospitals and Best Places to Work.

The address is 9003 E Shea - they offer tours of the Women's Center and can answer all of your questions. ###-###-####.

I recommend the scottsdale health care hospitals. There are 2 of them one on osborn just west of the 101 and one on shea just east of the 101. They are beautiful and they do have a seperate birthing center from the hospital. The rooms are huge the staff is very nice. I had a great experience there. And as far as OBGYN's I went to Valley OBGYN they also have 2 offices one on osborn and scottsdale Rd. and one on shea by the hospital. They have like 5 or 6 doctors in their office. But They were great and very friendly. I hope this helps.

I have to agree with Erin. I go to Valley OBGYN. I have been going there for 10 years. I had 2 of my kids at the Osborn Hospital in Scottsdale and my last at the Shea Hospital in Scottsdale. Dr. Jean Moon is GREAT! I have seen almost every DR. there and I cant say one bad thing about any of them. Congrats on the pregnancy!
