Hi everybody!
I am a mommy of nine month old little boy who does not like getting water in his eyes at all. My question is...what are some ideas to keep the water out of his eyes during bathtime when I rinse his hair? I've tried a couple basic things but don't get good results. Any suggestions would be great, thank you so much!
Safety 1st makes a little seat, it doesn't go around them it lays back, it has little polar bears and fish on it. It's appx $10. I think it's really more for infants(we got hers when she took her first bath, and we just keep using it and my daughter lays back and looks at the ceiling and we pour the water on her hair..She's two and we still use it.
You can try posting pictures on the ceiling of things he likes to look at (we have dinosaurs over our bath tub) and ask him to look at the pictures while you rinse his hair, although this might work better as he gets older. Hope that helps!
Try the Shampoo Rinse cup from Babies R Us. We had the same problem and this helps a lot! It has a rubber lip that shapes to the child's head and keeps water out of their eyes. Here is the link, http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2793366

have you tried little swimming goggles? He may not even let you put them on, but they should keep all the water out of his eyes.
start swimming lessons. he will see others in water and be more curious and then would learn some safety technics. try putting him in the shower with you or your boy friend (my husband does this for me and it helps that i am not there -- my husband also sings some really crazy song and it seems to distract the kiddos.)last but not least you can use a fun squirt toy like a watering can to make it more fun. this too shall pass and he will move on to something new.
