Baby Monitor Recomendations - I Need Two That Will Work at the Same Time.

I have recently had a new baby, but I am still using our fisher price monitor for my twins who share a room. Not only do I feel like I still need to monitor the big kids(2), but I also enjoy listening to their conversations and really don't want to give that up. I am looking to buy a second monitor and was wondering if anyone has any experience using two different monitors in the same house. When I had a friend visiting we both tried to use ours at the same time and one just didn't get any signal. I am finding lots of monitors with dual recievers, but none with two transmitters. I'd love any advice you have.

What can I do next?

I use the Summer Day and Night handheld color video monitor. I like the video so I could see our newborn w/out having to go in and check her. It's been great. You could switch between 2 cameras since I also have a 3 yr. old who has sleeping problems (nightmares, night terrors).

We have a Graco and a fisher price that work together. We tried several combinations to go with the Graco and finally figured out that the fisher price went with it. My friend got a monitor that was able to monitor 3 different rooms at the same time (3 separate receivers, so maybe that is an option.

We purchased the Sony BabyCall Nursery Monitor and bought two systems to have a transmitter in both rooms. There are 27 channel options (using 3 red, yellow or green toggle switches) and we set each room to a different channel. It was great because I could carry just one receiver all over the house with me and just switch the switch the channels back and forth between the rooms. This may be one of the pricier options, but we were very, very happy with this monitor. Little interference from neighbors, phones, etc. I still have the transmitters in both rooms, as I love to hear the kids talking to each other too!

Hi! We have two Sony Baby Call monitors - they are great. We just set them to different channels, and we've never had a problem with interference. Plus they have really good range - no problem at all to be out working in the yard (two floors down and on the other side of the house) while the kids are napping. Good battery life, too.

I LOVE my Sony Baby Call! With all the available channels you should definitely be able to use two of them without a problem.

I know that Graco used to make a dual transmitter version of their iMonitor. A friend of mine had it and it would switch back and forth automatically between the two bedrooms every so many seconds or as soon as there was noise in one of the rooms.

We have two separate Graco monitors, and they work fine together, we just had to change the channels on one to make sure there was no interference!

We have two Fisher Price monitors. They are pretty much the same models, just one is a newer, updated version. I am able to keep them on different channels, and can hear both well. When I originally bought the second monitor, I bought one in the $90 range and returned it quickly because even at high volume I couldn't hear screaming! I got another mid-price Fisher Price one (about $50-60) and they've been great!

P.S. Both have two receivers, so we keep one set in our bedroom and one set in the family room.
