This will not be productive for you, but I hate these things on babies. Imagine how your head feels after having a probably too tight band wrapped around it for a long period of time and you can't take it off - irritation, itchy, scratchy. I've seen where babies have red marks and irritation marks from these things. But they look cute, so that's all that matters, I guess.

Believe it or not, many baby boutiques sell headbands that are reasonable. I have also found cute ones at Target and Walmart. The ONLY thing I would say is to really look at how big your baby's head is and whether or not the elastic has enough "stretch". The ones with the stretchy lace tend to be much better than the "scrunched fabric" ones (if that description makes any sense) AND they breathe!

I swore we would never put her in headbands... well, they are just so damn cute! Happy Hunting! :)

Nearly all stores that sell baby clothes also have headbands, in my experience. You could call ahead and ask. Seems like I've never paid more than 3.99 or so.

They are easy to make. Get elastic lace from a fabric store. You can also find "dodads" there to sew on to the lace. Wrap the lace around your baby's head and cut off the extra. Overlap the two ends and whip stitch them down.

Do not like headbands on babies. Maybe for a quick picture, but that is about it. If you really want them, you can get them wherever baby clothes are sold.
