Anyone have this? The reviews on Target are all great. I would love opinions.

What can I do next?

I had this for my second child and absolutely loved it and highly recommend it. It helped put my mind at ease regarding SIDS and all I can say is that I wish I had gotten it for my first child as well.

There are only 2 issues that may be bothersome in my opinion. One is the sensitivity level. You may have to adjust it so that you don't get a lot of "false" alarms. No biggie though. Once I adjusted ours to the proper setting, the false alarms were all but eliminated. The other, and it's just a habit you have to get into, is remembering to turn it off when you take the baby out of the bed. I would take my son out of the bed, go into the living room, get settled and then the alarm would go off. It takes like 20 seconds, which doesn't seem long, but it's enough time to get from one room to the other, and then you have to go back into the bedroom to turn it off. :-)

Again, highly recommend this monitor. Loved it!!

I agree with the other posters. I used this for my 3rd and 4th and loved it. My first two daughters were preemies and one came home on a monitor that would alarm if her breathing or heartrate were not detected. It was a very expensive hospital grade machine that we used until she was around 9 months old and the false alarms were horrible. I was so much happier with the Angelcare than I was with the expensive hospital grade one.

My son was born 16 weeks early and we had one of these from the day he came home until he was over 2 years old. It was peace of mind and it worked, I never had a problem once with it.

I would definitly buy it again and again!

I LOVED this monitor (my kid is almost 3). As just a regular monitor it is great and picks up sound well (we still use this part w/o the sensor). I agree with the other poster about the annoyances of it, but it gave me such great peace of mind that it was worth the money. The NICU doctors told me that it really is too long to wait if your child does stop breathing, but it could help. It just helped me to sleep so it was worth it for me.

We purchased one of these for our newborn and it has been great! We don't worry about SIDS and aren't constantly checking to make sure he is breathing. Occasionally we get a false alarm but it doesn't seem to wake the baby or bother him. He is now 8 months and we still use it. We would definitely buy another one if something were to happen to the one we have. The peace of mind is just that terrific! BTW we got ours on Craigslist for a great deal and barely used. So look there before spending full price.

its been a while (i think i got it with my frist baby 12 years ago!....but it could have been the second child almost 7 years ago) but either way it was one of the first models that came out and i can say that I LOVED IT! it was a great sound monitor and never had trouble with that. and it gave me peace of mind. i couldn't sleep in the other room with out looking in on baby x number of times a night but with this i could rest assured that they were at least breathing. it's very sensitve (with an adjuster however) and the only time i had false alarms was after the baby had grown a little anyway and could move off the sensor but even then i didn't get many. i'm about to have baby number three and i'm getting the new one. unfortunately i wasn't too careful with the storage of my frist one so it bit the dust bt if i'd stored it better i could have used it again.
