Allograft & Baylor School of Dentistry

I don't know anything about the grafting but I can tell you my mother is a patient at BSofD and she has been very happy and pleased with their work. She had to have several teeth pulled and has since had dentures made and she is now wearing them. They cost barely a fraction of what they would have at a regular office. It can sometimes take a while to get in there because patients are called based on what is needed by the students to complete the coursework but they are going to do their best for you since they are being graded on their performance. I would strongly suggest calling and getting on the waiting list or at least see if you qualify for their services. Good luck!!

Call Dr. Pat Allen in Dallas. My father is a dentist in Plano and that is who we refer to for this procedure. It is supposedly an easier surgery than the traditional graft. Hope this helps.

My siser-in-law went to Baylor School of Dentistry before she graduated. They are slower there, but they are sooooo checked by their professors. There will be doctors there to help if needed and their work as to be near perfect because it is part of their curriculum. If you have the time, I recommend going there.

I had a tissue graft surgery on the gum a few years back at Baylor. It took about 3hres for the surgery but it is soooo much cheaper. I saved 2000$! Others doctors were doing the surgery under anesthesia but not at Baylor and that was also a big plus for me. Yes, they are students but they are supervised by doctors very often during the surgery. If this helps I had my wisdom teeth out under anesthesia there and they did a great job. My sister had braces there and my mom has had considerable work done there as well and they did a great job and it was a lot less expensive than what dentists quoted to do the work. Sometimes it is harder to get in there though so if your interested call them and see about getting on their waiting list. Hope this helps!:)
