Our dogs have fleas and they are bringing them inside. I do not want to use a bunch of chemicals because we have 3 small kids, but I am not sure what will work that is natural??

What can I do next?

You could try citronella oil on them. I know fleas are repelled by that. Might keep them off the dogs and yourselves until they get under control. I've heard Borax is more natural than most chemicals, but I probably wouldn't let a baby crawl around on it. Good luck...no fun!

I'm sorry to tell you that you would be wasting your money and time trying to find something natural to work on these pests. Some will swear by them but you can not control fleas unless you stop their breeding. Use Advantage or Frontline monthly and soon the fleas will be gone. Other wise they will continue to lay eggs in your home and the cycle will continue. I worked as a vet tech for over 11 years and if there was a natural flea killer that worked someone would be REALLY rich by now! ")
Best Regards,

If you have carpets try Borax. I am not sure about natural remedies for the dogs, however. My cats got fleas a couple of years ago and I tried several treatments (including natural remedies) but the only one that really worked was the Frontline or Advantage that you can buy at the vets or I used 1800Petmeds.com. I tried other things for the carpet but they didn't seem to work. Borax worked for me because you could leave it in your carpet for a couple of days and then vaccum it up but it was not harmful to pets or kids. You may want to double check that with a baby, though. My kids were older and not crawling around the floor. Good luck, I know it is horrible when you are going throught it!!

A vacuum.
vacuum vacuum vacuum....
use frontline or type product as directed and just keep the kids away from them for a day or so because....
You treat the animal and most of the fleas will naturally go to them and die. You vacuum up all areas picking up any strays and eggs and throw out the bag in outside trash each time. You will need to do this regularly to beat the egg cycle and this will take care of it.
good luck

This what I use since I have a dog that I can not use traditional products on. You can a huge box for around $14 at most gardening centers, make sure it is labeled food grade or safe for pets.

It is also recomeded but Dr Shawn Messonier.
