Air Purifier for Nursery?

If you use an air purifier in your baby's nursery could you tell me the brand? I am looking to get one for my son...also, I am actually looking for one that is a little loud because he really sleeps well with white noise!

Thanks!

What can I do next?

I use a small Honeywell in my LO's room. It has a hepa filter (which is the most important thing), and it specifies that it is for a small room and it wasn't too expensive. I also like that I can find replacement filters at many stores (including Kmart, etc) so I don't have to order them from the company - I've had that problem before. It is great for white noise - the "low" setting has some noise, but not too much for sleeping.

I use a Shaklee Airsource 3000. It takes care of the entire house and there isn't a filter to clean. Just a photohydroionization bulb to replace anuaully. It has helped me and my children greatly with our allergies. If you'd like to look at it go to www.shaklee.net/dudinyak

I have a honeywell with a HEPA filter. I swear by it. I a asthmatic and can tell the difference if it is turned on or off. As soon as my little one was born she got one in her room too. Make sure you get one that has washable filters not ones that you have to replace. As the unit gets older the filters are no longer available in the stores and only online and boy do they get expensive. That is the only reason I replaced my 1st honeywell (it was almost 10 years old.) Everyone carries them Target, Home Depot, Kohl's, etc.

I never used an air purifier, but I did run a cool mist humidifier every night when my son was small...I agree-the white noise is excellent! Also--he never had ear infections and very few colds--maybe just coincidence, but I feel there was a connection with the moisture in the room and his overall health.

We have an EcoQuest..there are several sizes, the filters get run under water to clean and your put them back in. The 2 we have (one in our Karate School) are ionizer types. They have adjustable fan settings for various noise levels.

A friend of ours had a house fire, had a professional company come in and they did not get the smell out. I lent her mine and it TOTALLY got the smoke smell out of the furniture and clothes in less than 24hours.

Good Luck,
B.

Hi L.,
I use the Air Source 3000 by the Shaklee Corp. The filterless Air Source 3000 cleans the air by reducing all three major forms of air pollution: odors, microbes and particulate matter. The Photohydroinization process reduces airborne bacteria, mold as well as gases and odors. The Electron Generation process reduces airborne particles such as animal dander, dust and pollen. You ave o maintenance other than changing the photohydroinization module once a year. The Air Source 3000 filters up to 3000 square feet. I have experienced many benefits of the Air Source 3000 but one really nice thing other than the health benefits is that my house doesn't get as dusty as it did prior to having the Air Source. If you would be interested in learning more about this product, please go to my website which is www.shaklee.net/maryggreathealth. Once on my sight, you can view information on the Air Source. I love my Air Source and find it most beneficial. Be Well. M. Gaskill

i bought a honeywell purifier at target. it runs nice and it has three different settings. i have one for the baby and it is nice. It has a nice white noise sound. It costs around $100-$129. this time of year they will probably be on sale, they were last year this time when i bought the one we use.

We use an Oreck air purifier. It has high, medium and silent settings and an ionizer. Also, the filter is pretty easy to clean.
